I just moved into a condo and at my new place I need a very long ethernet cord because my modem for my DSL is on the other side of the room. I was actually thinking about selling my PS3 and then getting probabally a 60 GB that has built in wi-fi. But is the 60 GB the best bet? Which ever one I am getting I am going to add more harddrive space to. My PS3 that I currently hav is a 160 GB (20 GB) PS3 with two controlers, how much could I probabally get for it?

yeah man the 60gb is the cheapest best option. its definitely the most demanded ps3 but i doubt you can find one . I think they arent producing it anymore. if you find one buy it. i guess i would pay yo 350 por the ps3 with the controllers

$350 for a 160 GB Hardrive + 2 controllers? That just seems low because when I first got it it was a 20GB and I got it for $499.

I would take out the 160gig drive and put the 20 back in it. Keep the 160gig harddrive as well as the second controller for your new PS3. As far as pricing goes I would say $350 top. You can get a new 40gig for $399 so a few people may be reluctant to pay too much for a used system.

Although after thinking about it you could start at $400. You can always come down in price.

I think the 20GB has hardware support for the PS2 and PSOne games that is more complete than the limited software support in the later models. I think that was one of the reasons they were able to lower the price. Also, Wi-Fi is all well and good, but ethernet cable is pretty cheap at online clearance electronics stores like TigerDirect. Last I looked (not this calendar year) you could get 100 ft for < $20.

Not really because the value of that SKU has dropped considerably after the price drops and the release of the other SKU's. The 80 gig with a extra game or Blu-Ray movie is now selling for that price new. If you can't find a 60 gig system then the next best beat is the 80 gig unless your in the PAL regoin then the only two options is the 40 gig with no BC or a 60 gig (if you can find one) with BC support.

But will the 160 GB Hardrive even fit in the 60 GB hardrive slot? I thought they were different sizes. Maybe I should just get a long ethernet cable.

All the PS3 drive slots are the same size so there would no problem just swapping the HDD out.

They all take the same size harddrive. Or at least I am pretty sure they do.

Hmm okay. See the main reason I want to get a 60GB is for the Wifi and out of the 40, and 80 the 60 is the best. I just dont know if I sell my 20GB if I will have enough to get one...

You could try E-Bay or Craigs list and see what you could get for it. That would be the best place to try and get the most for your system.
