i have a 65inch DLP Mitsubishi 1080p HDTV in my living room and a 42 inch LCD 1080p Vizio they both look great but I like the LCD better smaller TV the pixels are more compact giving a pretty picture in my experience and from looking at both for gaming I like the LCD, for watching movies on my blu ray player of Corse I love the 65 inch DLP.

27` lcd hdtv looks alot bigger

ill be updating to a 1080p next year maybe 47` for 1300 bucks
