For the PS3, I only had 2 games with per-ordser so far, and they are Little Big Planet 2 and Assassin's Creed: Brotherhood, and the best was Assassin's Creed: Brotherhood, and gaining the Harlquin which is just plain awesome

i haven't preordered a game in a long time i have yet to for ps3. there really isnt ever anything that good from preorder bonuses. its usually a bunch of over priced crappy dlc.For the PS3, I only had 2 games with per-ordser so far, and they are Little Big Planet 2 and Assassin's Creed: Brotherhood, and the best was Assassin's Creed: Brotherhood, and gaining the Harlquin which is just plain awesome

well the best one I got wasn't for the PS3, It was for one the castlevania games for the DS. It came with a CD, with every castlevania song on it, a carrying case for 2 DS games, and an extendable stlyus, the first one at that time. Awesome for my bigger hands. The CD was very cool.
I like pre-order bonuses that have special DLC characters or maps that you would usually have to pay for through the PS store.
I rarely pre-order games but I did get a hat just like Junpei's when I pre-orderd Persona 3 Portable. For PS3 I went to my local Game Crazy and bought Resident Evil 5 (didn't pre-order just went down there on day 1) and they gave me a free Resident Evil 5 snow globe.
$20 gift cards. I don't really care for collectible things, unlockables, exclusive DLC, etc... Although Dead Space 2 limited edition got me to buy because of HD Dead Space Extraction inclusion. I buy a lot of games so being able to save money on future game purchases is the best incentive for me. It beats waiting months for a game to drop by $20 or more. Heavy Rain dropped to $29.99 at my local Walmart = new addition to my gaming collection :D !!!!
I really liked the Pandoras box that came with God of War 3. It's nicely detailed and looks nice sitting next to my Kratos figure on my display :P and I actually put stuff inside of it.

Me too and I'm finding that (even with bonus DLC) it's usually not worth it. I still don't understand why people pre-order when nothing is offered: it just seems like some completely lame lay-away plan except it makes even less sense for the consumer since the item isn't available anyway. Not to mention the fact that they sometimes take preorders for things that are year(s) away from release.
I have pre ordered a couple of things for the ps3. I didn't regret Just Cause 2, that is just an awesome game(I knew it would be from the demo), I got a free hovercraft, and my cc didn't get charged until the game shipped: IOW I didn't have to give them money for a game I wouldn't see for months. My pre-order for Fallout New Vegas wasn't as stellar. The bonus was okay but Best Buy didn't actually hold the item for me (and I went there the day of launch) and I regretted buying the game because it hardly works on the ps3.
So as someone who doesn't like to buy a game without trying it (I expected FNV to be as busted as Fallout 3 but not as horribly busted as it was) I think the bonuses offered are usually a poor incentive.
