Dodging all the lightning for Lulu's Onion Knight in FFX.
Winning the chocobo race for Tidus's celestial sword in FFX.
Breeding a gold chocobo in FF7.
Killing Solidus in MGS2.
Getting an epic mount in WoW for the first time. Including the flying one.
Beating Diamond Sands in the N64 game "Blast Corps" (no lie, that was quite possibly the hardest thing I have EVER done in a game)
Beating CoD4's Mile High Club on veteran (another very hard moment)
First 20 killstreak in CoD4.
Killing Vergil on Heaven or Hell w/o any guns (hit or miss epic sword fights FTW)
Finishing Oblivion's main quest.
Defeating Lavos with just Crono in Chrono Trigger.
Defeating Melbu Frama in Legend of Dragoon (pretty hard final boss, I must say)
Honestly...I could go on...
haha beating "one" by mettalica on gh3 on hard, this was before i learned that you can just strum with your wrist really fast and get through the fast part lol.goleafsguy
Your biggest "fist pump" moment was when you beat "one"? Makes me giggle.
I know it's a pretty pathetic fist pump moment but it's all i can think of lol :pgoleafsguy
Did you miss the innuendo of your own post? ;)
Beating Ninja Gaiden
Killing Aeris in God of War
Kicking Zeus' ass in God of War 2
and finally Beating Through the Fire and Flames in Guitar Hero 3 on EXPERT
I can't decide between beating Donkey Kong Country 2 or Donkey Kong Country 3... or maybe it was making it through the castle in Resident Evil 4... but then again, defeating the Elite Four in Pokemon Blue was pretty intense the first time around... oh and of course the first time I won a FFA match in Halo 2 on XBox Live, or winning a 4 vs. 9 LAN team game... good times...
Oh and I definitely cannot forget this one - beating Ninja Gaiden Sigma (my first PS3 game). So hard.
to list a few
Final boss - Shinobi - ps2 (no faq just trial and error)
Train stage (perfect agent) - golden eye - N64 (no faq didnt know you had to shoot 2 people at the same time in the end)
Chapter 8 The forest (veteran) - Call of duty 3 - 360 (used a faq it was just insanely hard...heard we gotta cross this road a thousand times")
Defeating dark samus - Metroid Prime 2 echoes - game cube (no faq, just threw down like 40 times)
Ending to god of war ii, ending to MGS3, all of the second half of FFX, slowly playing through FF12 and getting so amazed on how much work was done for the game, playing through most of GTA vice city, the nuke scene in COD4 in my first run, C&C3 demo while launching my first ever ion cannon(only to really, really hate the game a while after I beat the full version of it), certain story events in bioshock when tale was almost completely turned around, can't get those other ones in my head, damn.
Man I love video games.
probably finishing the SNES star wars game when you blow up the death star at the end... so hard!
or finishing donkey kong country and DK 3 on SNES..
also many many times beating friends on FIFA with a late goal out of nowhere...
timesplitters 2 had many of those moments
Has to be beating sonic the hedgehog on the sega megadrive\genesis. No saves, very young and only limited time before i had to go t bed and start again the next day.rob_devitthaha that does sound intense!
I'm just going to add another one: In crash bandicoot 2 to get some sort of gem ( can't remember which one) you had to get to the end of a secert level where you have to jump between far apart platforms containing patrolling enemies that you couldn't jump on while dodging large missles being fired from god knows where. The section demanded deadly accuracy and timing. spent literally 30 lives on it alone...
Metal gear solid 3, beating the boss for the first time, after the most compelling and intense games ive ever played, that was a big moment :P
comebacks in fifa soccer i like aswell, playing my mate 3-0 down at 80 mins and coming back to win 4-3 once was amazing
beating sephiroth in kh1/kh2
also, playing madden 08 online, down by 7 with 30 seconds left and no timeouts. start on my own 15 and drive down the field and score a tochdown with 00:00 left in the game. and i go for the 2 point conversion (now that i look back on this, it was so stupid) and BAREEEELY make it in. one of the greatest madden comebacks ive ever had.
rsoxguy12
the ultimate
beating the 2nd level of battletoads on the NES, wen ur on the bike thing n u hafta time all those jumps
adam_53
I agree with that. That part could not have possibly been any harder. Good times tho.
While playing SMRPG my older brother tricked me by saying I had to beat Culex to move on with the game and after fighting him for like a week I beat him. (he tricked be because we were racing to see who can beat the game first.)
and this, I may not have been there, but SF=win http://youtube.com/watch?v=B_t1qNMijEM
well recently i got like 60+ kills on a cod4 match (no not on shipment cause thats nothing to be proud of) and i was friggin ecstatic dude. i was with a couple friends so you know i was pumped.
but uh, i think when i was a little guy and beat mortal kombat (one). i mean, for real, i had the fatality cheat on and i was kickin some azz
How weird. I was gonna say DMC3 or God Of War. Last boss in DMC3 and God Of War. Great boss fights in both games. You thought Beowulf was hard? I thought he was the easiest and funnest boss! :D I didn't even die! I just beat him like a week ago on Normal difficulty. I still have a ways to go on Normal, I am about 2 levels after Beowulf.for the moment mine was beating beowulf in DMC 3. you have no idea how much i attempted to beat the boss.

My biggest pump moment was beating the Legend of Zelda. Man, I loved that game and also Majora's Mask was awesome. I never defeated it until a year or two. You know, when your young and aren't that good at playing games. Well, I never defeated it and last year, I went back and played through the games and won. It was just epic to be fighting Gannon and Majora and winning. Since I was young, I got lost in the Forest temple. I had already done the fire and water temples, but i couldn't defeat that area until I replayed the game. Also, while i might sound almost fanboyish, it would have to be halo 2 with the scarab mission. I mean it was easy and all, but it was awesome to reach the area where the scarab comes and then the guitar theme of Halo just blares as MC has a rocket launcher. It was one of most memorable experiences. I know this sounds weird and fanboyish, but still. Oh, and also defeating all the MGS 1 2 and 3 plus defeating Sin at a really low level.
Beating Alma in Ninja Gaiden. I tried like 30 times and I finally finished her. I had only 1 elixer so it was really hard.
Even though I was cursing at Team Ninja, it makes memories and it's soo rewarding once you get past Alma.
my best moment had to be going 46-0 playing Battlefield 2 Modern Combat on Backstab. I was in a tank for nearly the entire time and I single handly pinned the opposing team down on flag 4. It was definatly a good time to own a headset since I felt like the baddest mofo on the planet.
The next best was beating the original star fox on the super NES. A friend of mine had it and I decided to jam a game when I ended up beating the entire game without dying once. It was one and done for me. My buds kid bro was like my wing man and we just geeked out amazed at how lucky I was.
GOOD TIMES!
the only time i actually fist pumped was beating 4 leaf clover
i swear i tried like nearly ten times and i either kept doing something stuipid or my buddies ai was screwed and they died
then i got drunk and beat it straight away haha
God dude, that was a long time ago...It makes me sad sometimes just thinking about it, sometimes I wish I could go back in time to those good days, now Im 17 and it sucks, I gotta actually start thinking about what Im gonna do for the rest of my life.defeating sephiroth for the first time, wow so long ago.
Steve_ps
beating the MGS games, beating GoW1,2,CoO on the hardest levels, all of Uncharted.
One that I didnt realise when i first played it was seeing a golden Ho-oh in Pokemon Gold the first time i went to it in the game. I thought that it was supposed to be a shiny indefinately so when i killed it and restarted it again, I expected to see it again, but was sadly mistaken. (So it was one of those wow im an idiot moments in video games)
