Mirror's Edge mostly deals with free running, and contains little combat. There are occassions when armed cops will close in, but they can be easily dodged.The main aim is running and jumping across buildings. When you get used to the controls, it's a real buzz stringing moves together! The gaming environment is breathtaking too. It's definitely a unique gaming experience.
In terms of other games, Portal is a first person shooter/puzzler. The player is stuck in a lab, with a 'gun' that can generate wormholes. The aim is to navigate from one room to the next, overcoming glass screens, platforms, and laser traps etc. It's part of The Orange Box collection though, which contains The Half Life 2 episodes and Team Fortress 2.:?
Fuel is a solid driving game, with a Mad Max tone. It has a masive world map, which simulates a 24hr day.
LittleBigPlanet deserves another mention. The custom levels can be as fluffy or demented as you like. I get a kick out of building vehicles, trains, rockets etc. There's no limit to imagination and level design. Plus, there are lots of dowloadable packs - based on official franchises. Game Of The Year edition includes water too.
