Whats the reason u bought the ps3?

i loved ps2 and i wanted a better updated version of it.

also i was excited to hear that ff13 was announced i simply had to get it

Dude, the only reason we dont hear kids on Playstation Network is because not alot of people have mic's, and if they do some of them choose not to use them. Xbox 360's come with mic's, thats why you hear alot of kids. What did you expect? Middle aged adults?

Anyway, I dont know why I bought it. I dont play it alot. Once I get Killzone 2 and Resistance 2 and MGS4 Ill be playing it so I wouldve rather waited untill they were all out to buy a PS3. Ohwell, atleast I wont have to worry about coming up with the money then.

i bought the 60gb for $499, 5 free bluray disc, as soon they announced that future SKU's will not have BC. so i thought this is a great chance to buy one... so im one of the few millions that have the 60gb with BC

I bought my PS3 for the same reasons. There are dozens of PS2 games in my collection that I have not finished. I would have kept my PS2 and bought the XBOX 360, but the failure rate convinced me to buy a PS3. Free online was a major factor for buying one as well.

believe it or not i was getting it for my birth day and a week before i got it, my ps2 crapped out on me but then agaIN I like to own all 3 major consoles regardles just so i dont possibly miss out on bg hitters , and timesplitters wasnt compatible with the 360 and my gc version of ts2 and 3 which i just replaced today didnt work so ya i basically bought ps3 for these reasons

1 xbox 360s lack to be able to play ts2 or ts3 with hdd space lol , liked it on xbox becuase of the map editor but now i got a ps3 so ya

2 fully well i thought, bc with ps2 and ps1 titles also 40 more gigs then 360 at the time

3 ps2 crapped out- even though i bought anotther one a few months back from today i didnt have one or no desire to get another ps2 until i found out medal of honor had problems running on ps3

4 again never need to worry about missing out on big hitters -i got a wii at launch instead of getting a ps3 because i know thatl be the most played platform but still i own em all gfor this reason

5 since ps1 i was hooked on owning more then one platform

6 driver 5 -the main game i was gonna get for ps3 but i still have no date for it

7 gt 5

8 duke nukem forever being announced for 360 and ps3= a must buy for both platforms

and 9 free online play wifi same reason i got the wii ,, god i hate paying 50 for xbox ilive this was actually my first year lol on xbox live aside from those free t rials so ya gota include this reason

also it plays my ps1 games even if they are scratched ps2 would have given me a disc read error

and it upsacales dvd and includes a blu ray player to boot ,, those are all the reasons any one should have to own a ps3

also ive been victim to 360s rip off,

my first 360 died before owning a ps3 thats was in september of 06 i got ps3 in march 07 ,, havent had a single problem with it even though its fallen lol ya recently took a nasty fall and still works ,

but like many ppl with 360s ive been through 3 all 3 lasting only 6 months i thought it was the 6 month curse lol

i have 2 360s now and hopefully spacifcally the one ms repaired doesnt go out in 3 more months ,, im already 3 month in from the time it were repaired as one says keep fingers crossed,,

the exclusives the cell the free online.and im a sony fanboy lol.deon99
