When the PSP-3000 comes out, what happens to your psp-2000 warranty

In another topic someone posted that the 2000 will be discontinued. i also own a ds and whenever that broke (twice), nintendo would send me completely new ds's (they broke before the ds lite was released). So i was wondering if my psp broke before the warranty expires, does sony fix it themselves or do they send you a new one they had stocked. I only bought my psp last month before the news of the 3000 was released so i could probably still return it. also i didnt pay for that extra $30 warranty, that lasts for 2 years so that if anything happens you can bring it right back to the store and get a new one, but for anyone who did, can someone post how that would still work if psp-2000s stop getting made.

well i myself have a 2 year warrenty (went through 6 phat psp's and got pissed so i bought psp slim) and what i believe is, that the "STORE" itself will replace your psp with the new psp, this is because if they cannot replace it with the same product, they will replace it with any psp slims they got left or you just pay the difference, with the new psp, or if you send it into sony, they will replace it with, a refubished psp slim or try and fix it, but you pay almost 100$ for shipping and handling and all that stuff, and yea if they cant do that, then im not sure, sooo good luck hope this helps

I still have my warranty on my Phat PSP that is set to expire sometime in 2009, I wonder if they would replace it with the 3000 models if it breaks (after it's released).

Always wondered about that.
