When will the PlayStation 3 get a price drop?

During E3 no one concluded anything about when the pricing drop of the PS3 is going to be or how much. Mind shedding some light?

Seeing as how Sony doesn't care how much we have to spend for a ps3 I think the next price drop will come when the ps4 comes out.

Everyone is in the dark. Everyone hopes for one but if you keeping hoping for it to happen soon you'll probably make yourself sick. I expect price drops to happen during the holidays but if it doesn't happen then I guess you'll just have to wait till next year.

I want one bad, mainly for god of war 3, Killzone 2, Uncharted 1 and 2, and Final Fantasy 13....could get it for 360, but It just wouldnt go right with the rest of my FF collection thats on a sony console...

I thought there would be no price drop this year but all this news about slim and manufacturing cost decrease points to a price drop this year and soon.

If I were you, I would go out and buy the bundle with KZ2 and MGS4 with the ps3 for only $399.99! The games are worth about $90 total, so you get almost $100 off your ps3! So why wait for a price drop?

P.S. This is only if you have access to a Best Buy.

I thought for sure they'd drop the price after I bought one, but no. If that didn't do it, then nothing will.

all these price drops you people are hoping for are pipe dreams seeing as how much money per console they are losing as it is the only way they will make any money with a price cut is by putting some ps3 components into a ps2 case

not anytime soon...they should keep it at 400 for a while since theyre finally actually gonna make some money on the sales...so i say at the end of next year there should be one....but they really need to sell some of these PS3s...
