Basically, you hear the noise when the game loads something, like the menu. Less loading, less noise.

Yes, but does it make loading noises in-game for example on a cutscene or before a battle?

in the game config, there is an option to increase the processor speed to accelerated. The other option is normal speed. The accelerated speed runs the psp on 333mhz speed.

No, for once it's actually a legitimate feature in a game.

^In the config menu for Birth by Sleep, you can choose to up the speed the game runs at from 222Mhz to 333Mhz. It's all legit, and that helps a bit with the loading times. Only drawback to it is that it will drain the battery faster, although from my experience I run it at 333, and it lasts about the same as usual anyway, so nothing to worry about there.

But yeah if you install you'll still have some loading, but really not much, and you'll only hear the noise the PSP makes when it's loading during the loading screen, never during combat or cutscenes. :)

Actually, it is also present here as well: START is pressed and gameplay freezes....(screech)...(screech)...screen fades to black a bit...(screech)...Menu appears. Sometimes happens with the save menu (not the PSP interface, the Save/World Map screen) as well.

The max you can install is 642mb. And of course it uses 288kb for the system save file and also 288kb per character save file.

Don't forget that (and I haven't been to this part yet)....well, let's just say that you might need a little more space than that.

Yes, I do notice a lot of noise when the game is loading; more than most games I've played on PSP (with the game installed with the highest amount of data).

Honestly, that sound doesn't bother me at all. Nor do the loading times. It doesn't really matter.
