[QUOTE="Vyse_Legends"]MGS. Because it has The Cobras!:D*hisses*jay_rock_Yeah those bosses were the best MGS4 bosses was ok but not that good...
I actually enjoyed the MGS4 bosses more then MGS3, apart from 'the end' boss fight ofcourse which is one of my all time favourite boss fights.

Really they were ok but the last boss was really easy which made me mad....I voted MGS series because I have played them all and off the top of my head can't think of 2 boss battles that were all that repetative. Not only within the same game but over all of the games. You got the two sniper levels of MGS4 (wolf) to MGS1 and both are in the snow. And that's as close as I can get. Otherwise you got a ton of diversity. And I think some of it has to do with the fact that in the other MGS games you are being stealthy the whole time and being able to let it rip in the boss battles was a welcome change of pace. In MGS4 not so much as you could get away with playing the game and not being stealthy.Seritonin
yeah I threw stealth out the window quite a few times in MGS4
[QUOTE="SikKwuN"]i never played sotc, and is still one of my regrets, so i cant judge fully.
but mgs1 bosses take the cake for me, those bosses actually had heart and story (imho unlike the bosses from 2-4, except the boss and the end(sorry but when i saw a fat man with rollerblades, placing bombs everywhere, and the fear who seems angry for no reason, i couldnt just help but miss fighting ocelot/ninja/mantis))
the boss battle with The End is the only one boss battle that ever EVER made me think hard ( and by far for me, the best boss EVER) then to figure out that all you needed to do was
turn the clock up...
that is the most epic boss battle.
*edit*
the most epic boss battle was against the microwave hall...

The microwaves part is not a boss battle but you're right, it was an epic moment and emotional aswell. Seeing Snake being tortured this way after all these years isn't a good thing to look at. In MGS4 there were alot of scenes showing you Snake being hopeless or kinda useless in terms of fighting because simply nothing could've been done to fix that problem at that moment. We got used to Solid Snake being the LEGENDARY soldier who could stop anything and accomplish tasks under any circumstances and that's what Kojima been feeding us all these years but now in MGS4 it was different. Although the spirit of a warrior is still in him and giving up was never an option to him, but still there were these specific moments where he just couldn't do anything to stop Ocelot, for instance in the end of act 1 when he wanted to assassinate him but Ocelot(Liquid) activated the SOP and you see Snake struggling to get on his legs and fight but he just couldn't. Those scenes mixed with Harry Gregson-Williams music were emotional sad scenes to me because that's not the Snake we got used to and that was sad to watch. Another scene that hit me really hard was the scene in the end of eastern europe when RAT PATROL team 01 alongside PMC soldiers prepared an ambush on Ocelot convoy or boat should I say. Well before the ambush, there is this CQC fight between Snake and Ocelot and that part was sad aswell because Snake was pictured really really weak in that scene when in fact he's not at all. Seeing Ocelot overpowered and stabbing him in the right shoulder and having Snake screaming because of pain, a pain that never reached him in past battles. Then you see Ocelot having control of SOP again and shooting everyone around and you see Snake on the boat holding Eva tightly in his arms sitting, watching and waiting and knowing that he just can't do a damn thing to stop him because simply he couldn't and you can tell from his facial expressions that he is hopeless when the camera get a closeup on his face. Then when Ocelot blows the hell out of the boat in which RAT PT 01 and Snake and Eva are, Snake couldn't take it anymore and he was just so upset that he just screamed "OTACON!!!!!" out loud just to seek help. Whenever Snake screamed "OTACON!" out loud like that, GOOSE BUMPS start filling my body knowing he was saying this out of pain! I can go forever...not to mention the scene with Sunny and Otacon where she asks him if she was going to see Snake again. That scene mixed with the beautiful music was undescribable.

It feels good. Doesn't it?
On the PS3 I would say MGS4, but a series that has very good boss fights are the metroid prime games, they make you think alot, or atleast, they made me think alotFreezingDudeYeah Metroid Prime had great boss battles.Shooters should have boss battles like metroid prime.
really interesting poll. i mean all these games are great in boss battles, especially Shadow of the Colossus, its truly epic, but i vote for MGS because no game made me feel real like The End battle... all MGS bosses are unique but nothing can come close to The End battle... and probably it will never happen in any game...
