Which is best for single-player only: KZ2 or R2?

Not interested in online play, just the single-player campaign.

Killzone i like more.
Killzone is more of a traditional shooter without bosses and stuff.

Resistance is like a action movie with some pretty mean bosses.
Both good, so you cant go wrong.

Killzone 2. Great SP and MP.

I beat KZ2 on Elite. Oh what a nightmare, its SP experience actually keeps me up at night.

R2... one of the bosses is sooo awesome.. hes like taller than the empire state building and looks good.. the kz2 campaign is difficult but has virtually no story at all.MethodManFTW

Did you beat KZ2 on elite, did you try it on elite? The game is actually so hard that I used to die even on recruit, the game takes no prisoners.I'm a God online in KZ2 due to beating elite in SP in that game.

They should put a black Superman in KZ3.

Probably like a lot of people here, I would say Killzone 2 for singleplayer.

I'm almost done KZ's brief story mode, and so far, I'm disappointed. At the moment, Resistance 2 - a game I thoroughly enjoyed all throughout. Let's see if the last hour of this game can make up for some lost ground.hazelnutman

What difficulty are you playing on? Go for teh Gold, beat it on Elite and join the few, the proud the ones who have wasted many a hour defeating such a hard game.

Killzone 2 SP is definitely better than R2. the AI in R2 is just so stupid and KZ2 has better level design. the first Resistance campaign is better than R2 as well imo.

I would say Resistance 2 for Singleplayer. The large scale battles are awsome. Killzone 2 is pretty tough though. I died a lot even on easy. Killzone 2 has more of a weighted realistic feel for a shooter and Resistance is run n gun similar to old school Wolfenstein and Doom.

How do you know you're almost done? The last hour is amazing though. It's so epic. Plus I'd say it's fairly long for a FPS campaign these days. Probably twice as long as any of the COD games.

Resistance 2 because:

• it has color
• the characters aren't entirely annoying

And personally, I found the bosses to be better and the difficulty more balanced in R2.

Why are you guys bashing the shallowness of Killzone? I loved the actual story of KZ2, probably because I felt like the underdog the whole through, especially leading up to the ending. You aren't a god on the battlefield like masterchief or McTavish, which is what makes it all the more realistic. Plus, KZ2 has the best ending of 2009.

Better than having too much emotion in the form of Rico though. There were times during the last part of the game he was pissing me off so much I started shooting him in a fit of rage.

single player i give a small edge 2 r2. the single player in k2 is good i just hate the ending. out of nowhere u run into radec and he can teleport all over the place. and hes the only charachter that can do this in the game. and they doit at the very end it made it feel tacked on and unfinished (imho).multi easily goes to k2 r2 coop online is phenomonal buts its competitve sucks . every server is filled with wraith glitchers that shout racist comments at u in lobby after they just cheated.r2 online community is psn worst they are exactly like halos immature community.
