I got the PSP because I like the quality in the games. The PSP is like a mini PS2 in a way and also it can do so many amazing things I think you should really check it out. The DS has it's qualities too however, and in my opinion it really depends on what kind of games you want. If you want the Nintendo type game exclusives then you won't get those on the PSP like the new Pokemon game that's coming out or whatever else there is. It all depends on your personal preference in games, so think carefully. Both are pretty good.
