Which of your PS3 games were a total letdown?

What games were you bouncing with anticipation for to come out? Then you got it, maybe even pre-ordered it. Got it home and it was an utter failure/disappointment.

1. Star Wars TFU - Worst graphics of all my games, the most linear level design ever, boring boss fights, lame voice acting.

2. GTA IV - Man Dates. Nuff said.

3. DMC 4 - Cool, I made it halfway thru the game. Oh wait now I get to go thru the same levels in reverse just with a different (old) character.

Thats pretty much it for me. AC was repetitive and tedious at times as well. But at least the story was original. Oh and I played the demo of RE5, you cant walk once you pull your gun out!? ridiculous. You need to work on that Capcom!

3.Naruto storm: I REALLY waiting for it LONG time for this game,I COULDNT WAIT!!! but when i got it..boring..failure.I really wanted to like the game,but it was utter trash

The first game I ever got for my PS3 was Turok. It was fun for about half an hour. Then it just got frustrating. But I stuck it out - and it just got more frustrating. I soldiered on - and it got even worse (which I didn't think was possible). Finally quit about two-thirds of the way through.

Probably Mercenaries 2 and Rainbow Six Vegas 2.

It's strange how people talk about the good graphics as if it's a bad thing, like, "What were the developers thinking putting good graphics into the game? Gosh, I'd rather it look like junk. Why does it look so appealing?" In my opinion, the graphics add to the enjoyment, and I'm not ashamed to admit that I appreciate good art and good graphics, and the artists for Killzone did an amazing job.

To answer the question, the biggest disappointment is easily Litte Big Planet. The platforming is very minimal, the challenge is small, it is more about collecting junk than platforming, it looks good for the first ten minutes until you realize how shallow it is.

GTA 4..it wasnt a letdown the story mode was just to short

Assassin's Creed was the most disappointing game. I bought it for 5 bucks expecting a great game because of all the reviews but nope, it was a letdown.phucher

Far Cry 2, tried to get into it but got fed up with the repeated ambush points rather than actually doing the story.

GTA4 just wasn't engaging enough, still not completed it.

Actually a lot, there are some I didn't expect anything at all (like the new Golden Axe), but others really disappointed me as I expected much more (like Cross Edge)

red faction guerrilla. this game made me realize that games need good evirenments full of life. so empty and lonely.

I didn't expect it to be amazing, but I expected it to be something. Kind of regret paying full price for the game, but it happens. Not a terrible game, but it's still pretty bad.

1.) GTA IV- ughhh I pre ordered and was so excited... for this!?

2.) Demon's Souls-- I'm just kidding. I love this game ^.^

LBP and Lair were fails to me

1. NFS Prostreet- Hated it. Couldn't change the buttons so that I could play it like I play Gran Turismo (X button = gas, Square button = break, etc). The physics drove me insane. The drag races and drifting challenges simply weren't fun at all. And the sounds of some of the cars' engines sounded downright horrible, and unrealistic (like Corvette's, the GTO's, etc). This game is the reason why I'll probably never buy a NFS game ever again.

2. Street Fighter IV- I initially bought it because of all the hype, and the fact that I enjoy other fighting games like Soul Calibur and Tekken. It was a decent game, but I was annoyed when I found out that like half of the cast had the same, or similar movesets (Ryu, Ken, Dan, Akuma, etc.), and some other characters were just damn near impossible to learn (like Vega). I got pretty good with Cammy, but overall, I just don't think it's my type of fighting game.

Killzone 2. While it was pretty fun and all it was way too hyped. I kind of feel the same way about Uncharted 2, but I've actually only played about 4 hours so far, so there's plenty of time for me to change my mind.

GTA IV , Lair and Assassin's Creed .... the rabid hype surrounding them was only surpassed by their epic failness.

1. GTAIV - Nice graphics and details but repetitive shallow gameplay and annoying side missions... nothing truly compelling here. Not a 10

2. Prince of Persia - Other nice looking game, but stupidly easy with weak (and pointless since you can't die) combat

for me so far my only TRUE letdown on PS3 would of had to have been Assasins Creed. The game was just so repetative that i couldnt handle it =(

Wow, can't believe most people saying Assassin's Creed, I thoroughly enjoyed it.
Killzone 2 let me down the most, I thought I would be playing it for hours on end. Once I completed single player I started multiplayer, got bored really quickly, shame.

Yeah I would agree with Killzone.

Virtual Fighter 5 was a total let down

Burnout Paradise - even more frustrating given the great reviews it got.

I have to say Fallout 3 after being the biggest fan of Oblivion I was really looking forward for it then it just popped my bubble.

fallout 3 was dissapointing in that you were not allowed to continue gameplay after the main quest was completed and all the endings were dumb. i agree that the oblivion folks fell short of expectations. that being said, i try to think of it apart from oblivion, w/o those expectations and within that context the game is better than decent

Exactly the opposite for me. I loved FO 3, but just couldn't get into Oblivion.
