Which PS3 game has disappointed you so far?

Resistance. The aiming had really a really bad dead zone that you couldn't change, and the level designs felt boring. If it didn't have that ugly yellow tint most of the way through, it might have actually looked good to me. Weapons sounded bad too, and it actually supported pcm 7.1 uncompressed too. That doesn't make sense.

Ridge racer 7. Now I love ridge racer. Loved the begining of this game. Problem is, you get on some tracks, and you'll find out how bad the framerate gets. You got 7 people ahead of you, and if only 1 person uses boost, say hello to less than 20fps.

Probably Resistance a little, because I'm not a big fan of the guns in the game plus the online community is rather dry(as in talking, not playing cause there are ton of games). also some of the sound effects coulda been better, but it's still a good game to me.

Oblivion...ionly because I had about 100 hours clocked in on the 360 version, but lost my data and now on the PS3 I don't feel like doing all that over again. But I may go back to it some time

well for me, it was heavnly sword, cause i beat the game in only three hours... and i also beat in hell mode with the same amount of hours as well... its a great game... but the replay valuve sucks big time... i wish they mad it longer or added more extra on it...zeke2040

The biggest let down has got to be Oblivion. With such a high rating, I literally found nothing of interest to do in the game. The great outside environment looks so good, but it's only good to look! While most of the hunting happens inside of stupid, ugly looking caves/houses/whatever.

And the goals and objectives of the game are so lame.

The story is ... uninspiring at the most.

How can it get a 9.5 is beyond me. no wonder some old timer politicians say video games are no good. If all games are like oblivion, devoid of meaning and senses (or worse, all games are like GTA series), games will never live up to other media entertainment.

Seriously... 3 hours? Well, it's obvious someone skipped every single cutscene. My first playthrough was around 7-8 hours. I died a few times in the Bohan boss fights, but that's about it, and I'm pretty sure that didn't add 4 or 5 hours to my time. Honestly, I don't see why people gripe about the length of HS. It's a solid 6-10 hour game, depending on skill and playstyle. Most action games are the same. People praised God of War 1 and 2 as the greatest ever, and they were in the same 6-10 hour range. If it was an RPG, sure, it'd be a let down. But for an action game, it's about average length, with great gameplay, and a better story/acting/graphics than most.

was there a game that you've wanted, but when you finally got it, it didn't come close to your expectations? were there any games that you felt fell far below your expectations and/or standards of others? mine was madden '08. imo, framerate issue was a serious problem.

I hate 60$ games that are easy and short.... but to the point I hated Motorstorm the hype machine was kicking when it came out and it stunk.

I played ninja gaiden sigma on a rental, got to level 8 on the normal level with head master rating in each chapter. And guess what, I stopped renting it, cuz it's really really boring. (in the same way as how Oblivion is boring)

There's no point at all in pushing forward and finishing the game, because the story is just so weak and stupid.

Let's examine game from another angle then perhaps many people will understand. When you watch an awesome movie, say, the lord of the ring (which is awesome for many people), you want to watch it again anda gain.

Why can't games do the same? Why can't games be a great movie+gameplay. How awesome would it be if you are frodo, or Strider, or the elf archer in the movie and do all the running and shooting?

Too bad though, because games has to be thin in plot line. As long as gameplay is alright, games are great. That's the current mentality about gaming, and that's why lots of poeple think gaming is a bad thing.

Gameplay... yeah yeah... even the greatest fun gameplay won't hold my interests for long if it doesn't have a good story to back it up (it's just like action in an action movie. without a good story, even the greatest action stunts become boring fast). I'm sure lots and lots of people feel the same way as I do.

Correction, Resistance's MULTIPLAYER dissapointed me, you must read in order to perceive. The campaign was pretty awesome but multiplayer is bunk.

ninja gaiden's gameplay gets much better once you learn how to use the game's combos, you can link some awesome stuff together and just because you didnt get far enough to appreciate that ability doesnt mean you have the right to deduce a game into a derogative sense.
