I have the original. But just wondering what you guys prefer, the original or the Slim?
I tried the Slim and it felt really comfortable and really cool. Is it really better than the original?
Just asking.

Slim's Advantages
TV-out - watch tv, whooo!.
More Ram - faster loading times
Battery Capacity - longer battery life
Better Controls - DPad is slightly higher
Lighter - ofcourse it won't strain your wrist
Skype - PSP phone
Sounds better - Speakers have been moved
Go Messenger - internet chat
Update Reliability - better chance of new firmware compatibility
Newer Accessories - also has a better chance of new accessory compatibility
Brighter Screen - Take note that both console losses brightness overtime.
Phat's Advantages
More Durable - if you like using it as a hammer
Solid Memory - memory looks(just visually) less flimsy
Cheaper - ofcourse its cheap, its old.
Obviously, like most other people, the slim.
It has more capabilities and looks much more fashionable, even though handheld consoles don't really look great in the first place.
Though I must admit the 'Phat' feels somewhat sturdier. Everytime I play my 'Slim' I'm paranoid about it breaking so easily.
I actually like both of them.
Slim feels like a fun game escape route, while a Phat feels like a sturdy game system.
It honestly depends on what im doing.
Music: Slim(moved Speakers)
Gaming: Phat(more sturdy)
Ps1 emu: Slim(more laid back)
Im actually going to go against the grain and buy a phat when 3000 comes out.
I have both and I can tell you I really like how my phat is built, It feels better made than the slim. I don't really care about all the extra stuff you can do with the slim namely: skype, tv out, "fast loading", etc.
But the Slim wins because of a simple thing, the D-pad is wayyyy better, specially for fighting games and I really enjoy those.
So Yeah, I prefer my slim

lol. but what about the fact that the slim feels cheaper, they got rid of the IR port, and the door over the umd doesnt feel very tight.
I'm used to HUGE handhelds like my atari lynx, so both PSPs are REALLY small to me. but the faster loading time, more internal memory, and the TV out port are big improvements in the slim. but I don't see a good reason to upgrade to the newest psp3000.
