I'm 35, a dad, and I work for Coca-cola. My wife thinks R & C is the sweetest game she's ever seen. My nephews and brother in law thinks Warhawk is the funest game to play that's out. casey7672
I am so glad that there is some one of my age on these boards.I was beginning to think I was the old man.
I am 35 with a daughter (who wants a wii because Daddies games a silly), and I am a DBA
I'm a Hospital Technician at Johns Hopkins. I'm also starting up my own business in Multimedia Recording.
I'm 25.
But i wouldnt be to happy, theres still plenty of young 10-16 year old gamers using PS3 and allot of them use these boards.
That last time a topic like this was posted that i read the poll winner was the 14-17 year olds.
After this christmas there will be even more kids/teenagers playing on ps3.
Just because of the high price tag doesnt mean there is not a boat load of young kids playing a ps3 there parents bought them.
And to the comment about older gamers are brand loyal is completly false in my expierence.
People my age who i know have no brand loyaty we grew up in the Nintendo/sega years, i had everything from ataris/spectrums/commodore 64,amiga's,master systems,nes/snes/mega drive/N64/ps.ps2/xbox/ps3/wii/pc/360/saturn/GC theres definitly no brand loyalty in my gaming.
In my expierence i'd say brand loyalty comes from every age, but mainly a younger generation of gamers especially thos that grew up in the playstation era, kids that started gaming with ps1 and ps2.
Or an older age and gamers of an older age tend to support nintendo, but thats not a huge amount, as for the last 10+ years nintendo have basicly sold to the same crowd they always have.
IMO brand loyaty in gaming is compeltly foolish, if a gamer can afford to buy more than one system but doesnt because he supports company x then that is foolish and they are missing some of the best games the gaming world has to offer.
All this fangirl nonsense is what is ruining gaming communitys like GS, its just a chore to find a decent subject that doesnt invole console x VS console y.
Persoanlly i cannot wait till 1 company flat out wins this generation so the fanboyism can die down again till the next generation, when i was a kid and had a mega drive and my friend had a snes we never even mentioned which system was better we just played them both.

So, you make tinfoil... sounds interesting...
I'm 28 and have a Bachelor of Science degree in Criminal Justice. I'm married w/o kids, I don't have the patience yet.
I'm currently a Public Safety Officer, which means I'm a cop and a fire fighter, we do both. I like fire fighting a lot more than being a cop. The work is easier and adrenaline rush is in-describable, plus you don't have to do any real paper work.
My Nintendo (NES) still plays and I've been gaming ever since.
I can agree with some of this to a point. However I could probably afford to get all the consoles and game on my PC too, but I just don't have enough time to devote to gaming any more, so I prefer to justplay on thePC and play on the PS3.IMO brand loyaty in gaming is compeltly foolish, if a gamer can afford to buy more than one system but doesnt because he supports company x then that is foolish and they are missing some of the best games the gaming world has to offer.

I also would not want one company controlling the gaming market. Mr. Gates pretty much owns the PC realm as it is, he doesn't need to own the entire console industry as well. I prefer keeping all three here, competition just means that gamers win out in the end, more options.

Dude why did you write so much? Also I said nothing of fan loyality. I had a 64, xbox, and Ps2. and as far as your last comment you better hope that competition never stops between consoles, because when that day happens the quality of games and systems will lose their speed of growth. Competition is good, Fanboys and girls are not.
