I really don't care now. Activision really has no exclusive games. If you miss Guitar Hero, get Rock Band. COD withdrawl? Go try Killzone or Resistance. Plus, they tried to stall Brutal Legend. That was the last straw!!

lol at everyone pretending not to care. Keir21If your not a COD fan, and looking at it strictly from the perspective of lost game franchises rather then business aspects, why would you?
It will hurt Sony and probably separate a fourth of it's consumers.... It may not mean anything to us gamers, but just imagine a whole company "ActiVision" picking up and walking away to what we know as Sony's rival; not a good thing at all. Like it or not Call of Duty/Modern Warfare is pretty damn popular (I have like 10 people I know who are dieing to play MW2 who own a PS3. They wouldn't be happy campers either...Nocturnal_Speed
yeah but even if acti pull support for ps3 MW2 will still come out on ps3 as that game due this year and acti talking bout pulling support next. And we know MW2 will use lame host system that lags out all the time so all the cod fans wont have to worry about losing server support.personnally i enjoy COD4 but didnt think it was all that and then some.DOD IMO is much better and much much older
Because games are games regardless, the more the better. So anyone should be slightly dissapointed if we lose Activision. Keir21Not really. There are so many games both good and bad abound that I don't think I would even notice activisions offerings were missing. And in the case of most of their recent attempts, I'd be glad they were. *glares at Prototype*
i stopped caring when they stopped publishing total war games, wait they for the PC so doesnt matter anyway :)
I don't really care about Activision to be honest I don't really like Call of Duty as I'm not into FPS I think Sony has enough great studios that keeps the Sony strong. I don't believe what Activision are saying anyway plus Activision can't talk when they are actually keeping the high price of a 2 year old game which is still the same price as a brand new release Call of Duty 4 the price should be going down by now by it's not.
It'd be a crippling blow to SONY by any standards. Activision alone paid SONY $500 MILLION dollars in royalties last year, and Activision (among other third party developers) has emphasized the challenges of developing games for the beloved PS3. I'm sure Activision can survive without the PS3 and save $500 million a year... SONY on the other hand would be devastated. It's an empty threat though because Activision has taken note of the 22+ million PS3 gamers they'd be losing in the process not to mention that if Activision were to pull out completely they'd be losing even more revenue from PSP, and PS2 titles respectively. So all-in-all this is just Activision saying "Hey, stop charging us so damn much for royalties!"
[QUOTE="ShowStopper102"]Did you say CoD is being milked, TC?raven_squadWould that not have been a correct statement...? No, in my honest opinion, it is not.

I couldn't think of a witty retort, but you executed it gracefully; but besides that I'd have been a hypocrite to call him out considering how much of an avid fanboy I am of Final Fantasy... Thanks. LOL!
Yes my thought was with out COD PS3 exclusive shooters would skyrocket. I don't buy shooters or music games so it really makes no difference to me. I say the hell with them especially if they have to balls to try to boss Sony around.Thinking about what we'd miss out on...
personally I'm starting to draw a blank. Guitar Hero is milked crap now anyway, plus Rock Band is far better... Call of Duty has a whole lot of noobs, personally though I never liked it, it's also milked and now PS3 owners can play more shooters to support Sony, and... what else will we miss out on in the coming months? Help me out, I don't know what's so devastating.

FF is a different game every single time its never the same you cant say that for any GH game.I personally care because i want to play future Call of Duty games.
you all should care, because Playstation brand should be for everyone not just fanboys and hardcore gamers. it's important that Playstation is successful and not some weird bourgiouse niche gaming circle.

They would already be selling if Sony advertised them.
I agree. They have many POPULAR franchises... that has nothing to do with quality, though. They're all the same milked games every single year.GodofBigMacs
Whether or not they're "milking" a franchise is irrelevant. The sales speak for themselves, and so long as sales are high they're going to continue to "milk" it until it's dry.
Someone said that if we miss MW2 (Wont happen anyway) He said he wont have a game to play with his friends. And that would be bad for Sony, losing that money.
Maybe those owners can go get the undeniably FAILPROOF (i said it) Uncharted 2. That is kickass. I was in the Beta, and for a guy who doesn't like online, it is friggin sweet! That's not even with the mmmooouuuttthhwwaaatteeerrriinnn singleplayer. There, Sony makes MORE money, ensures an even better Uncharted 3. See?
I don't think that COD becoming a 360 exclusive is a good thing, that'd hurt Sony A LOT. I would care if they did, but I think it's just a bluff on Activision's part! Sony is getting a lot more sales! And they're definately coming out with killer games, so I don't see where this is coming from!
Agreed. I think that it wouldn't be good for Sony at all if Activision left. Sony would lose the COD games, which wouldn't be a good thing. Also, for me, I know that I'd miss the ability to play the James Bond games. I don't think that they've generally sold all that well the last few times, and Sony problem wouldn't lose out on too much if they didn't get those games anymore, but I'd still miss playing them.I don't think that COD becoming a 360 exclusive is a good thing, that'd hurt Sony A LOT.
