yeah you gotta hold L1 and the tag starts to glow and then you fire a bunch of bullets they start circling and then you tag an enemy and the bullets all go towards them

No you tag an enemy and then you can head for cover and shoot from cover and the bullets will go where the tag is no, that's the regular tag. the bullseye trap is different
The Bullseye weapon allows you to tag a wall or floor. Fire at the tag and let the bullets circle at which point they'll eventually explode like a grenade and kill anyone near it... or atleast damage them.
Unfortunatly I could never really figure out how to trigger their explosion and end up having to hope that it goes off before someone walks beyond it's range and kills me.
easier said than done. Usually I try to tag a person the the first shot and end up hitting a wall. then I have to dance around like a madman avoiding bullets while I try to hit him with a second tag or wait till they explode because I have not more shots.

I'm usually in too much of a rush to get a person tagged and get clear of the line of fire to remind myself to hold the button that long I press just long enough to hear the tag activate while fireing the weapon and then let go and dive for cover, when I look back I see about a dozen shots spinning in the air right where I though I hit my opponent with a tag.
