Who else thinks mgs4 should be delayed???

Youre probably gonna say I am nuts (in fact I think I am), but I think that for the good of the game MGS4:TGOTP should be delayed, now before you start telling me I am NUTS or any other similar thing, here is why I think it should be done:

1.The New 100 gb blu-ray discs: Kojima, has declared that he would have wished for bigger space, I mean he is right, he filled the 50 gb of the disc.....I think that if we wait we could get some things that didnt made the cut (extra levels, weapons even modes) because of the space issue, you may say that if that happened he still would only use at max 8 or 10 gigs of the extra storage space, but hey, we could get some nice extras (I dont know, maybe the other 3 games in the form of a cinematical story, so that people unfamiliar with mgs could get up to date).

2. The New Rumble controler: Poor rumble guy (remember that interview where kojima asked for rumble?) first he doesnt has a job, now he has tons of it....I think rumble should be added into the game, but not just as sensors or other stuff, imagine the possibilities of the new "rumble+motion" i think thats another reason to wait.

I am one of the persons who just cant wait to play MGS4, but if we could get a better game every second, hour or day would be worth it...

I swear Elchiquilin if Kojima reads your post and decides to delay the game I will kick your @$$...j/k but seriously I kinda see your point but at this point I need my solid snake and its release can't come soon enough.werty007

Actually, Kojima filled a 25GB Blu-ray disc, not a 50GB Blu-ray disc. Not to mention, most of the space is taken up by uncompressed 7.1 audio, which not everyone needs. And I wouldn't worry about weapons if I were you - he confirmed at the Tokyo Game Show that there will be over 90 customisable guns.

MGS4 is using rumble. In fact, at TGS it was the showpiece demo for the new DualShock 3 controller.

1. I see your logic, but it seems that MGS4 gets delayed alot of people may loose there faith in the PS3. Secondly, i think they will probably hav some nice extras or possibly a Special Edition one mite come later with extras and stuff just like Subsistence.

2. Im not sure if you hav heard but rumble is in the game and MGS4 will be using rumble.

Mgs 4 will include rumble, say's so in the article.

And I see where your coming from, but it might not have to be delayed. A demo has been shown, and was completely bug free. That could only be that part, but who know's. Plus, it's been in development for like 3 years, and it might not come out until April next year.

I agree that they should take all the time they need, but a delay may be unnecessary. But if they need the extra time to polish, ill gladly wait until 2009 (well, I say that, but if it was pushed to 2009 I would go crazy... I want to finish the story so damn bad).

Dude, by the time this game comes out in the US, the DS3 will most likely be out here. If not, we can import from Japan in about a month since they are region free. As far as space is concerned... I mean, if you give a developer more time, it can tinker, improve, add on ad infinitum. Games can always be better. There just comes a point where timing and vision intersect, and that is when Kojima will strike!

no, he was right. he filled up 50Gb, its been stated many times before. what your thinking of is sonys suggestion of using double-sided 25 gig discs. he didn't want to do that so he eventaully got the 50gig disc, and now that is filled......yea.want a link? use google, im too lazy and dont care if you believe the facts or not to post one.

As long as this game is released by November of 2008, I don't care how long they delay it...I have so many games that I want to and need to play that it isn't even funny. And no matter what, I'm dropping ALL of them the day that Metal Gear Solid 4 comes out. In fact, I will probably be playing Metal Gear Solid 4 exclusively for at least 2-3 months.

Kojima-san, please take your sweet ass time in making this game. There is absolutely no rush to complete it. I promise that the day Gamestop accepts pre-orders for the game, you will be paid in full. Just make me feel the way I felt when I played the original Metal Gear Solid because Solid Snake is one of my gaming heroes.
