umm im getting it. i dont care if it gets a 1.0 from GS. the graphics look amazing, and its MGS!

Haha. I think it's one of the best videogame franchises of all time. The first MGS was incredible, but I know that a lot of people who started with MGS2 feel the same as you. MGS3 was much better than 2, and almost as good as the original (for its time).

As for me, MGS4 is a major reason why I bought the PS3.

I agree. Im sure its going to be a popular game, but I have never really liked the MGS series.  Im not planning on getting it, but I might change my mind down the road.

Actually, you just have to log onto GS and you lvl percentage rises.

mgs story is some of the best if not the best in videogames. and if  the cutscenes are so crappy just skip em. i could see not liking the gameplay but the story is awesome. anyway i'll buy it

I'm not getting MGS4. I just never got into MGS. I just don't find it fun. Sorry.

I enjoyed the original MG on the NES and I liked Metal Gear Solid, but MGS2 had a terrible storyline, IMO, as well as some frustratingly boring gameplay (other than the ship in the beginning). MGS3 couldn't quite capture me, but this is mostly due to my dislike of games that take place in a forest or jungle. I have difficulty discerning objects in these types of backgrounds and have trouble playing them.

I'll give this a rental but it will need to be amazing for me to give it a purchase.

I'm not. I've never liked the MGS series. I'll take Splinter Cell any day. I'm also the only XBox/XBox 360 owner who hates Halo.DSPX

MGS4 is so yesterday, Transformers is where its at I ordered 3 copies in case 2 breaks. pimperjones

I'll definitely be gettig it... but then again, I've been a fan of this series since the PS1. It's my single favorite video game series. So I can't really understand anyone not liking the series.

On a sidenote, the next Zone of the Enders is also my next most anticipated game that I HOPE to see on the PS3.
