Who is going to get MAG?

My thoughts are all over the place for this game. Like I want to get it and hope it all it's meant to be, but I can't get over my gut feeling that this game will fail. Not because of poor design or anything, but because of the players. I don't see the team work happening the way the game is designed. Hopefully there will be no lag at all as the game promises.

My question is this though: Will you be getting MAG, and what are your thoughts on it thus far?

That is kind of what I'm thinking, well the too many shooters part. I don't think it looks terrible though. We have MW2 coming out in November, which will steal the thunder from just about any other FPS that comes out within the following 6 months.

I feel like it has the potential to be a fun game, especially with a bunch of your friends in the same squad

I'll wait for some reviews first.

I'll be getting it, and I'll be playing (very badly) as Valor.

I'll be picking this up day 1 for sure. Skipping day 1 for MW2 for a number of reasons.

Well if it forms a community like SOCOM you have nothing to worry about. I know many SOCOM players are going to pick it up just because Zipper is the dev but I think I may pass because it is a FPS.wooooode

I was actually wondering this. I know the Socom community is very strong, and didn't know how loyal they were to Zipper, as well as playing an FPS as opposed to a TPS. That would be great if MAG got a strong community

I will have to see what reviews say. If the online is busted, I'll wait for a patch. Although it does look really fun, like CoD4 on a massive scale

No, there is plenty more better games to spend my money on. Also I think the graphics and overall visuals look awful. There is no way I will play this

MAG is a 50/50 thing for me....i mean i sorta just don't see it working out with teamwork...it is alot funner just to go in guns blazing and not fight your teammates on what they should do to help you win soooooo

IDK....there are alot of other good games coming out in fall so probably not i guess.

I really don't like the footage thats been shown in the developer diaries, makes the game look way too crowded. The actual gameplay footage looks decent though, and if it receives a few layers of polish i could see it end up being really great. Which i hope it is since i love large scale BF esque games.

I probably won't get it but I could based on reviews, and how the online turns out. Since its an online only game I expect it to have everything you would expect. It could turn out like Fat Princess and be loads of fun if there is actual teamwork.

Definitely! The gameplay system looks top notch, and the PMC faction system looks really cool. I'll get this and BC2. Screw MW2. GodofBigMacs

I really like the different PMCs as well. I just hope they are all balanced so that one doesn't dominate the others. The Raven PMC seems like it would be the best because of all their technology.

i getting mag the first day it comes out

well i like smaller games, like 3 on 3 matches.. so this 256 player doesn't appeal to me.. (even though they are broken up into squads).. i will probably get it when it first comes out, but like almost any game the community will ruin it eventually.. i just don't see random people taking orders from someone and such, and playing with people you know is great, but it seems like if people go rogue which is bound to happen, it can ruin it for everyone..

So, i think i will get it if i have a number of my friends getting it.. which so far is just one lol..

I pre-ordered MW2 but I decided I'm boycotting activision and giving up on fps for a while. Might get MAG if its amazing since its a little 'different'. Exclusive too XD

Rather save my money on something better

I'll play a demo before buying!!!! I hope its good.

Unless I get into a beta or they have a demo for it and if that could change my mind I'll get it but so far MAG is a pass for me. I'll stick with Killzone 2 and get Modern Warfare 2 instead. I might rent it if reviews are pretty decent though.
