I wouldn't really call NGS a hack n slash. Have you tried Sigma before?
i see no problems in calling the game hack and slash, i it's the best hack and slash game, nobody is gonna be let down by this game,[QUOTE="Symphonycometh"]I try not to support jerks or jerk-related games. Sorry.Swift_Boss_A
I don't understand? you calling me a jerk!?
Nope. I'm calling the original guy who made the game a jerk. You're good....for now. :P[QUOTE="Prince-Noctis"]

Yes I have tried sigma before, and it really is hack n slash, not saying they're bad games they're just not fun for me anymore.

I guess my idea of hack n slash is different than other people's. My idea is games like Dynasty Warriors and Genji. God of War is even on the line with me with whether or not I consider it hack n slash

NG2 wasn't nearly as good as the first one. A 3rd of the game was hard in an annoying way. I might rent the game just to see the extra content. I gave the original game a 7.5 in a player review. All the problems the first one had remain intact. It's a shame that after 3 versions of the first game that NG 2 still had camera issues. The graphics aren't that much better than Ninja Gaiden Sigma. It still retains xbox 1 like visuals. The game froze up on me a few times. The level design insn't as good. I find it shameful that PS3 owners are excited for this game but I assume this is from a poster who hasn't played the 360 version of this game and he feels that the sequel is like the first game. It is like the first game to the affect that everything has been virtually unchanged and nothing new has been added. It's bad because the levels aren't as good and the fact that there haven't been any changes is a let down. There are no more puzzles, I guess that is a change for you. I wouldn't pay $60 let alone $80 for the CE. $30 sounds more like it and even that is almost a rip off.
There are better games like Ratchet with different ammo and attacks for weapons and Uncharted 2 for a great story as well as demon souls to get my RPG on. Overall 2009 seems kind of like a bust for all 3 companies. Everyone's biggest games are now coming in 2010.
Sony is going to lose out again with MAG like they did with Killzone coming out in January. I am not saying the game will suck but no one is going to have money right after the holidays to buy supposedly great online shooter. Killzone suffered the same fate by coming out in February. That is one reason why sales of the system are on the low a little because they never put out the hit games when people actually have the money and are willing to buy games. Infamous came out in the most depressed time for games. The dead of winter and summertime are the worst times to put hit games out unless they are so huge it doesn't matter. If they could have had MAG come out in the fall, then it would be better for them. If they could have pushed Infmaous until just about now to release it, they could have had better sales.
Hopefully, it won't have that freezing problem like the first version did.
Not to mention better A.I.
And less of those damned ninjas who lost thier legs, grab onto you, and suicide bomb themselves on you. Those guys are really annoying.
But most of all, the freezing problem. I had to put the game on hold for two monthes until a patch came.
[QUOTE="XturnalS"]that's the spirit, can you give me aloan??yessir
Every PS3 exclusive coming out this fall I am getting. So in the span of a month I'll drop about 240 on NGS2, Demon's Souls, Uncharted 2, and R&C CiT.
Should be a pretty damn good fall.

Hell I still have to convince the GF lol which will be no easy task.

I think all PS3 owners should read this, though this game does have some new content. it's a good post, but seriously, xbox 1 visuals?? Not in a million years...unless you're playing in Std. @gamenerd15: play the original NGS next to a HD PS3 NGS sigma, and take another look. It's like night and day : /I'm definitely getting it. I loved Ninja Gaiden Black on the Xbox and NG2 was one of my main points for jealousy of the Xbox 360. I'm going to have to play through on hard mode too since NGB was so much more fun playing through the 2nd time on hard. :)

Well I hope Tecmo has revamped the game to make it a true successor to NG, I'll wait for the review but currently I am really pumped for the game and can't wait to get it. I'm not too fussed that NG2 got rid of the puzzles, after all it's a hack 'n slash game. I feel NGS2 has added enough content and will hopefully fix all the problems that plagued the 360 version in order to make Sigma2 the most complete Ninja experience. You can't go wrong with co-op ninja action 8)

Well luckily I'll be getting those games too :) man this fall is gonna be epic :D

ummm.... yeah kinda going off-topic their dude but I'll let Sony worry about the sales for MAG. I'm sure if they advertise the game well it will be a success pluss Sony exclusives tend to have long legs. btw you're making it sound like no games should be released any other time except the autumn time, I'm glad Sony spreads out thier awesome exclusives.

Me! Day one buy. I can't wait for this game to beat the crap out of me.xmitchconnorxHaha and I thought I was the only one into that kinda stuff ;)
Agreed completely. Ninja Gaiden was a fantastic game for its time, and rereleased an updated version of that was a great idea. Ninja Gaiden 2 expanded on nothing from the first game and is worse in many respects - so much so that I'm doubtful a simple Sigma rehash can correct the problems. Especially using the first Sigma as a barometer, since nothing they added from the original game could fix Ninja Gaiden 2's problems. I'll wait and see, of course, and I hope I'm wrong.NG2 wasn't nearly as good as the first one. A 3rd of the game was hard in an annoying way. I might rent the game just to see the extra content. All I am saying is that Sony shouldn't release their top or hyped games right after the holidays and at the beginning of summer. I would have pushed Infamous to now and have MAG come out in March or April. Granted you don't want MAG to have no chance because of God of War but it makes sense to release big games at an appropriate time. If they waited until March or April they could lead into E3 stating they already came out with big games and then announce that other big games like The Last Guardian, Twisted Metal, and Gran Turismo are coming out in the fall. There is also Heavy Rain coming out next year as well. January is a horrible time. Yes let's release a big game after people have already spent all their money. In April people turn in their taxes and some people get money back later on so it makes more sense to release games in late winter or early spring and fall rather than in early winter or right when summer begins. No one thinks about playing games at these times.
Anyway don't get NGS 2, at least not at $60 The bonus content isn't changing the game other than adding characters and online co-op but the level designs still remain the same. There is no reason to get excited whatsoever for this game that is over a year old. It's a good game but nothing you need to preorder. There were better games out when the orginal came out and there will be better games when the PS3 version comes out. I encourage you all to play NG2 on 360 at a friends or something so you can see how it is, so you can save yourself some money and buy an actual great new game instead of an average year old port with some new content.

What's with this rumor on how this game was dumbed down cause of the gore and blood?[QUOTE="email2003"][QUOTE="PimpiNbananas"]
What was once a day one buy for me. They dumbed down the gore and blood, that turns me off, so I'll get it probaly next year when its cheaper
PimpiNbananas
Exactly like i said
I think all the gore caused framerate issues... I bet it will run 100x smoother on the PS3. There were points in NG2 where it dropped down to 1 fps for a few seconds... only a couple times but still...I played NG2 when I had my 360 but it seemed way too hard even on easy (meaning path of the alcolyte) so I think I'm gonna wait and buy it most likely when it's 50% off.MacenKraceWell, Ninja Gaiden Sigma 1 was easier than the original and Black, I would expect this to be easier than Ninja Gaiden 2.
Thanksguys, thanks for supporting the crappification of ninja gaiden, now there going to continue the series without Tobunobu Itagaki and makeit fail even more.
If you want to play the real ninja gaiden 2, buy an xbox and play it how it's suppossed to be.
It's not ninja Gaiden canon. No, I won't be buying it. Or any Tecmo products. Ever. :Middle finger @ sold out New Team Ninja:
I seriously could not be any more annoyed, ever in my gaming life. A ninja game with purple blood is the stupidest thing I've ever heard, ninja gaiden with purple bloodis insulting to all awesome ninja everywhere. I'm done. I'm going to try really hard to forget this series exists after NG2. (I don't care what anyone says it's the last and final real ninja gaiden, I'm done.)
 Have you even seen the original NG games? NG was never about bloody combat in the first place.Thanksguys, thanks for supporting the crappification of ninja gaiden, now there going to continue the series without Tobunobu Itagaki and makeit fail even more.

I daresay that I'm also more excited about NGS2 than Uncharted 2. I'll probably wait for a price drop on both, though... great newgames are coming out faster than I can complete the old ones.
