I've been keeping an eye on it for a while, and although it looks similar to Borderlands I'm more interested in Rage. Considering the developers track record I have high hopes for the game. Plus the new trailer is awesome :D
If it is cool, I will probably get the 360 version because Carmack is like that Valve guy and hates the PS3. If the PS3 version ends up being crappier than the 360 version we will all know why.
He's never said he hates the PS3. He has stated that even though he thinks it has more power than Xwhatchamacallit, it's harder to program on the PS3. Nowhere does that come off as hateful. On topic; game looks interesting, I'll be watching the development of it. Never did get to experience Doom 3 though, a PS3 port would be welcomed. If it is cool, I will probably get the 360 version because Carmack is like that Valve guy and hates the PS3. [QUOTE="Unknown_Hero3"]yea. basically. Not really. It takes place in a wasteland and its first person. The similarities end there. It's ID, they invented the entire fps genre, so you know that they're going to bring a totally unique experience to the table with Rage. It won't just be some clone.Fallout 3/Borderlands clone?

From what I have seen so far RAGE will be a successor to Fallout 3 in every way.
You know it's Id team and the latest trailer visuals, animation and characters interactions is absolutely top notch. I'm very, very exited for it. I have a good feeling it will be a big hit when it arrives.
Waiting for reviews on gamespot might take looong since Rage is releasing the same time as so many other good games and gamespot is usually late with reviews... I'd check IGN.I've been tracking it for some time, and since I just got the updates the other day, I am now looking forward to it. I will make my decision whether or not its a buy when I've seen gameplay videos and reviews :)

Just means it'll feel more like a movie, which they are going for with the game. Stick with Fallout for non-linear post apocalyptic gaming man. With New Vegas and GOTY coming out in the near future, I'll be sticking with it for awhile too :). If I hear good things after RAGE's release, I'll pick it up for sure to supplement the need for post apocalyptic gaming that Fallout created within me :PLooks linear =(
