3D TV: 2,000.00$

3D Glasses 150.00$...wtf?

Brand New PS3: 300.00/350.00$

Price to experience 3D: 2,450.00$

Maybe the average middle class Americans can afford this but most gamers are below average middle class to proverty level and cannot afford it. I would rather see these industries work on trying to find out how to make holographics images over 3D. I would never buy this technology. Wearing 150.00$ glasses to watch TV, if I am going to buy 150.00$ they better be getting me some fine ass **** down at the beach here in Florida. I would regret spending more than 1,000 on a TV and then spending that money for lolGlasses. I vote no obviously. **** 3D and the horse it rode in on.

Honestly when Playstation 4 comes out, I think it will be far too expensive. Games will be 70.00.... I will honestly give up gaming on consoles then. I can build a better computer for less than 500.00$ these days. Not trying to piss anyone off with what I said above, you want honesty and I am giving it to you. There's still so much the gaming industry has to learn these days about true diehard gamers.

Precisely. I spent $400 for a PS3 and $500 for an HDTV, and now Sony is telling me that if I don't spend another $2000 on a 3-D TV, I'm just getting a second-class experience. It's really starting to get on my nerves.

For the most part it's a gimmick at the moment but at the same time it's a decent first step. To do 3D in games you have to either significantly dumb things down or do it with a game that wasn't very technically demanding in the first place.

It's too much of a trade off at the moment: do you want to play a game with high res textures and a HD image in 2D? or play a game with lower res textures and a sub-hd resolution in 3D? In the future when we get loads more resources in consoles the trade-off will shrink to the point where it will only make sense to play in 3D, but at the moment we're not there yet.

It is cool, but at the same time I dont really care. I am never going to use it so it doesnt really affect me. But I mean I dont mind it as long as it helps Sony get an advantage over M$.

yea hence, pain and all the other games on the 3d list
