ok i don't know if this is true or not, im guessing its not. but i just turned on my ps3 today and it said i received a message. then i check the message and it said that starting december 1st or something, psn will not be free anymore and you'll have to start paying for online. then it said they would keep it free if we get half a million ppl to send the message on to their friends or what not. now i know this sounds like the classic stupid spam e-mails that you get in ur computer e-mail all the time, but im just making sure, cuz i usually never get random messages like this on ps3. the only other time i can remember i got a random message like this was when some dude was sending ppl messages to enter some MW2 competitions and stuff to celebrate the release of black ops. so is there any truth to this? no right? cuz that would really suck lol..

After all these years do people still seriously believe these "evil corporation will do this but won't if X amount of people forward this" chain e-mails?

Yes, it's obviously true. You don't get an official message from Sony about it, but from some internet stranger. How could it not be true then? Sony will just magically know when you send that message to a gazillion other users and will stop their plans immediately because uh... they just will. Come on, use a little bit of common sense. You shouldn't ask nonsense like that unless you are completely new to the internet.

alright relax jeez. i was just curious cuz i never really got these type of messages on ps3. the hells ur problem. why are ppl on gamespot always so quick to talk crap to someone, i will never understand why ppl here r so up the ass. feelin all safe behind your computer screen, if it was in real life it would be a different story. and then u wonder why theres a stereotype of gamers being losers lol. like hell i even said ok thanks i get it, and u guys still goin on.

Think about it, really, why would Sony stop charging if you sent the message to your friends? :P No, it's still free.

whenever a message says 'send this to a nr of friends' its fake, spam,bs,.. thankfully it doesnt happen all too often, you'd think people have better things to do on a gaming console..

Denji
They do, but not for anything so important.
