I find it ironic that they called the NFL team Patriots in new-ENGLAND ;P

I'd say teh Patriots are too strong for teh Giants, but I did a bet on the Giants as the value is more interesting ;)

they where originally the Boston Patriots and played in fenway park, then in the 70's moved outside Boston and changed their name to the New England Patriots.

Ahhhh thanks for the info! I'm Canadian and prefer the CFL and thus doesn't really follow the NFL except when it counts ;P

but I'm not going to lie and claim that the CFL have higher caliber, because frankly, even some back up QB would be starters in teh CFL lol, but I,m more inclined with the ruling of the CFL as it makes the game more exciting, at least to me.

I'm Canadian and I can't stand the CFL.

How do you think America was founded? I think England played a big part. So, makes sense to call them Patriots for the New England. ;)

To Bassman, I was playing with the words... as teh Patriots were fgighting the english and the team is based in a state with a name where you'd think pro england would be (knowing full well that it's not all that true either).

To Zergvasion : again it's a matter of preferences more then anything else and I'm not here to brainwash you nor have the will to :P The fact that it's harder to defend in the CFL (because the field is wider and longer) and there are only 3 attempts instead of 4. The offensive team has to make his play faster has the ygot only 20 seconds to run the play instead of the 40 in the NFL. To me the players have to be more and witty to make the ir play in those 20 seconds. I believe the timing rulings, can make the end of games more exciting the CFL has the timer is stop after every play with 3 minutes or less left at the end of each halves. The defence can hold up the recieved up to one feet of the scrimmage line instead of 5 in the NFL, so the plays in the CFL tends to me more open. But the biggest difference is that anticipating a play in the CFL is much more harder since there is almost no limitation to movements behind the line of scrimmage...
