only if it gets clogged with dust and smoke like my other 2 ps2s did then i'll open it up and blow it down with compressed air. fixed both my oldschool and slim ps2 that wayLeeSan420Thats how I clean my PS2 and computers. Well not really. I have a little (but powerful) handheld vacuum that sucks and blows that i use. I got it just for blowing out my PC and my girl's PC.
Well if my ps3 breaks (I doubt it), I will probably open it to see if I can fix it... just because in my country there is no warranty or customer service for the ps3.Gebrechlichkeit
hey are you from norway?
in a couple of years if my ps3 dies I'm sure i take it apart. I did it with my PS2s and PS1s but again it wont be for a couple of years.devilzrule27
Dido. If it breaks far outside of the warranty, than I might. What have I got to lose at that point, really. Might be an interesting learning experience. I have no plans on opening it while it's working though, heh. Don't want to tempt the fates on that one.

No I'm actually from Venezuela :)
Why, then you know if you screw something up its your mistake and Sony will do nothing. Thats just stupid and pointless.DEWMAN08I guess you missed the part where I said AFTER the warrenty is over. And yes sony will fix it after you open it, but it cost (which it would even if you didn't open it seeing the warrenty is dead). The just won't fix it if you modded it.
If you're curious, there are plenty of pictures/videos all over the internet that show what the system looks like on the inside...Jared2720
And thats exactly what id be checking out if i wanted to know.. rather than opening my own console and risk breaking something.
