If you're curious, there are plenty of pictures/videos all over the internet that show what the system looks like on the inside...

Well if my ps3 breaks (I doubt it), I will probably open it to see if I can fix it... just because in my country there is no warranty or customer service for the ps3.

I don't really care how it works, as long as I can play my games on it.

Thats how I clean my PS2 and computers. Well not really. I have a little (but powerful) handheld vacuum that sucks and blows that i use. I got it just for blowing out my PC and my girl's PC.

yes, once too much dust gets trapped inside. I always open my stuff, just don't forget where the screws went!

Dido. If it breaks far outside of the warranty, than I might. What have I got to lose at that point, really. Might be an interesting learning experience. I have no plans on opening it while it's working though, heh. Don't want to tempt the fates on that one.

Why, then you know if you screw something up its your mistake and Sony will do nothing. Thats just stupid and pointless.

I guess you missed the part where I said AFTER the warrenty is over. And yes sony will fix it after you open it, but it cost (which it would even if you didn't open it seeing the warrenty is dead). The just won't fix it if you modded it.
