Whos not really sure about Finalfantasy 13 ?

I really never played final fanyasy, though heard its like kingdom hearts. I just hate that it seems in this game you cant walk up to the enemy and just hit them. Anyone agree?

That's not a very good topic... People who love hack and slash games will tell you yes, other will tell you no. Besides, you can walk up to the enemy and hit him in the last final fantasy (FFXII) even though it's nothing like a hack and slash game. Final Fantasy games are amazing, I don't think looking for someone else that hates something about a FF game will bring some kind of good discussion.

Never played a Final Fantasy before but have always wanted to so I am buying this day 1. I am extremely excited but I know I am going to SUCK at it.

That's right, let's wait until the game comes out before judging it. Your initial post made me think you wanted to change the game before even playing it because it's not your kind of game, which doesn't bring much to discuss. I understand what you meant though, I am sure I'll love the game personally.

Beings as Kingdom Hearts is from the same people that MADE Final Fantasy, I would say it's just as good if not better. Now, bearing this in mind, you would have had to have played at least ONE of the Final Fantasy games to make an informed decision. If you still have a PS2, I would HIGHLY recommend getting Final Fantasy X (if not VII or VIII for PS1). FFVIII and FFX were perhaps two of the best FF's in my experience. I will definately be getting FFXIII after I beat the games I just got.

thats my one major complaint about the final fantasy series...that you take turns hitting eachother to see who dies first...i mean in my opnion...that makes the game fake....don't get me wrong now i like final fantasy from the graphics, the storyline and even the characters i wish they would change the way you fight on the game thou...thats just too much hogwash

I've always been damn sure that I'd be buying FF13. Can't wait for this game to finally release!

Its not COMPLETELY Turn based.. Like Final Fantasy 7. You had to wait till your meter filled up and you could attack again. you could go more than 2 or 3 times if your meter was fast enough xD

Well either way, FFXIII won't be completely turn based, hopefully the gameplay will be awesome as well as the story. I hope Square doesn't disappoint me again.
