I'm not against the UMD, but I think that if Sony plans on going all digital they need to give us an option to download 'older' games in digital format. Assuming Sony is as intelligent as Microsoft, you should be able to re-download already purchased titles at no extra charge. I actually assume this is already the case, which means you don't have to worry about losing/scratching discs anymore. I'm only really against the UMD because it makes the system larger than it needs to be and drains battery and because it's PHYSICAL. I love the XBL Arcade, and I would love for the PSN to really take off. Even if it means I have to buy a 16g memory card for WAY more than it's worth. That's right, Sony finally has ONE supporter. Besides, I don't have to leave my house to get Patapon 2 when it comes out. I'm frustrated that I'd have to pay 5 extra bucks for a case though. Screw you and your jacked prices, Sony. ~Sarcian

However, there is enough power to make much better games than the lamesauce RPGs we've been rehashing for years now... When does a GOOD turn based RPG or maybe an actual RTS (2d or 3d) come out? Not that I don't love patapon, but I've got it mostly beaten and want something new. Seriously sony... And make them available for both. Include a code in all new games that allows you to access it for download.
I think the UMD is fine really, if they made a new version of it that can hold double what it can now (for the PSP2 or something like that), that would be great.

How did my post not make sense? I know that no game on the PSP is too powerful for the PS2. I just asked what game he thought had that kind of power.
Anyway, I just think sony should do what I describe back on page 2. It sound's perfect to me. What do you all think? (PLEASE Sony, DON'T GO ALL DOWNLOAD! I WILL HATE YOUR GUTS IF YOU DO!!!) The only reason why I think my idea for the PSP 2 wouldn't be good is it might have too short a battery life, the PSP battery life is already bad enough, and a full disk slot might make it worse. But, then again, batteries have improved quite a bit since the PSP came out. (Back in 2005, I think. :?)

Yeah.. the psp is a lot weaker than the PS2, but it would be nice if it was more powerful for sure.
They can't hold a lot of space, that's pretty much my only concern. Apart from that I'm less reluctant about leaving them lying around because of their design, compared to a cd.

1.8GB isn't enough? By comparison, the Nintendo DS cartridges hold a maximum of 256MB. I wonder if they'll ever create a game that requires 2 UMD, (aka like the multiple Playstation CDs of yesteryear). Other then the situation where you're on the road and had to switch between disks, I wouldn't mind it at all.
If that is true, then it takes 7 DS Cards to equal 1 UMD....that is very impressive for portable media.
