Why aren't FPS games dead?!

I love FPS games. Plus, better graphics mean more immersion, more fun. I personally hate rpgs, I don't understand who plays that boring nerd crap.

Sports, FPS... I call it on the Driving games.

a response to the sports game thread? or are you just starved for attention, seriously fps are one of the more popular game genres, along with sports. these games are not mutually exclusives, both can exist at the same time and nobody is forcing anybody to buy anything, get it? you have to choose.

PS: You dont JUST shoot. I found the best parts of Half Life 2 was the puzzely bits and being in the cool citadel.

i actually like shooters,, COD4 is the only game out on the market with any replay value to me that rivals a sports game (until GTA4 comes out),,

BF2/BF2142, Bioshock, Portal/Half-life, COD4, are all good FPS ... in my opinion.

However, I agree that I wish the FPS development would take a rest.

I mean "my lord" I like pizza and all. But steak's great too.

If you don't have something new to bring to the table, don't bring anything at all.

I don't vote for the death of FPS, but a coma would be nice.
