Why aren't Sports games dead?!

Theres no difference to be found, The only thing "new" is the fact that the players are updated to other teams and there is ether a new way of passing or throwing or shooting. Thats it. And if you say the seasons mode change...they dont. Its the same damn thing except they add a locker room or a training session...which people, give or take, only bother with for like five minutes. It took me probably a week to finish a whole season of madden 06. when 07 and 08 came out i didnt even bother playing it. and beside...TECMO BOWL OWNS ALL MADDEN.

Everyone likes different games and if I was a game manufactuer and people kept buying a new sports game every year, when all we had to do was make little tweaks to the game we had in the previous year, its like the most perfect steady-state of income. You never have to worry about your game not being successful because people will always enjoy sports.

Minimum effort for maximum profit.

In general, thats like me saying, "I think all RPG games should DIE!" just because I really don't like RPG's.
If people are buying them, then obviously they should be produced. The market will regulate what is and is not needed, so as long as people are buying sports games every year. New ones will be made every year.
