We have a saying down here in Argentina: "La vida es injusta como el football" which means: "Life is as unfair as Soccer". Or in other words: "Life is a bit**, deal with it". Sometimes, we have to suck it up.

lol! not bad. I am going to say that to my father in law and see if he knows that one. TC, during my days of doing tech support. Any tech would reformat the HDD for almost any issues. This is more so done for smooth trouble shooting. So look at it this way, you may have lost all of your data but at least the correct problem was solved.

True, whenever I need to fix my PC, I just backup the important files, then wipe out everything and start from scratch. Its the easiest way to eliminate every possible trouble with the HDD.

It should pretty much be a no brainer when you send ANYTHING with a hard drive back to the factory to get fixed, to know it's coming back with a clean slate. I mean geez, whatever messed up, could've been because of your hard drive. So what do you do? WIPE IT OUT. Start anew. Format city. Anybody who knows atleast a little bit about computers should know this. They probably gave it a new boot file aswell, or just sent yours to another department to get fixed and just sent you a whole new hard drive. Either way, you should know better.

That sucks a lot, because i just sent my PS3 to sony a week ago they are going too try to fix it. One day i was online playing and i shut down my ps3 and than an hour later it did not want to turn on anymore the light would turn green than yellow and back to red I think it's called the RED LIGHT OF DEATH. It's good to know that all my files are going to be wipe out, however i hope sony sends me a new 60 gig PS3.
