Why do many people hate the PS3? Seriously, why?

Why do they? It started off as something everyone wanted, but could not have because of the $600 price tag. Now, it is like everyone is against it.

Look at GameSpot, they gave Ratchet & Clank a 7.5, with nearly nothing bad to say. They said it stayed too close to the older Ratchet & Clank. Hello? Did you not give Halo 3 a 9.5, which is completely overrated? What did Halo 3 do differently? It is a sequel, that is what sequels are. That game deserves AT LEAST an 8.5.

The truth is, the PS3 has many great games out right now. I do not see the problem people are having. I believe the negetivity from the Press is greatly adding to this, and this is not right.

As for others, people like to complain about everything. Once they have their problem solved AKA price drop, they complain somemore.

I feel that theres a lot of negativity around this board for no reason at all, we gotta stop..I mean, sony will be on a roll soon. Jus wait and be patient.

Hey, I commend you on an honest post. I'm an X360 guy and the reseason why I don't like the PS3 is cause the PS2 still had a lot of life in it. The Blu-Ray has been the biggest downfall of the PS3. The players should've been released first, then they should've released the PS3.... within a given time obviously. If Blu-Ray was released first and given time to mature to where it is at right now, the PS3 would havewon both, the console and the format war. But instead, they failed to give consumers options. The PS3 could've been made out to be better than the X360. The problems were the loss of force feedback and copying the Wii with the motion sensing. If it would've released with Ratchet and Clank, Resistance, and maybe something like Kill Zone 2 then the PS3 wouldn't have had to do crap for another year. Ratchet and clank would have been rated higher by that fool Aaaron (Aaron is a f****** fool that deserves to get every join on hid body chopped off one by one, starting with his toes and digits on his fingers, working up to the wrists, knees, elbows, pelvis, you get the brutal idea) if Sony would've played this strategy. Again, this is an X360 guy giving you constructive criticism, not bashing.

My post is as honest as yours. And you're a cool kat at that.

Many developers are claiming Blu-ray is necessary in development and i think that is starting to show... but u are a really cool 360 guy but ur post will be modded hardcore!!! lol but i dont think u can call their choice to put in motion sensing as copying the wii and the force feedback isn't that big a deal but i can see y ppl miss it so much... Stronger launch titles wouldn've been good but most of these PS3 games are so underrated!! Every1 says the PS3 doesn't have any games but come on now that statement is just being bias at this point... but honestly i think the ps3 will do the best out of all 3 systems... idk how ppl say the graphics suck... just look at killzone 2!!! and if that game had split screen co-op ha haaaaaaaa dats another story... a man can only dream of that feature though....

i own all consoles and i dont see anybody other than 360 fangirls hating on PS3.

Its basicly just the fangirls hating on the other system they dont own, its quite pathetic, being loyal to a brand name is pathetic, a real gamer will buy the system regardless of brand name for one reason it has games they want to play.

And i dont care if you only like jrpg's,fps,tps,action etc etc each console will have amazing games in each genre over there life spans.

Both consoles have there +/- neither are perfect but both are damn good systems.

And as far as reviews go, its just a persons opinion, Aaron was right to give it a 7.5 not because thats the right score but because thats his opinion, you may think it deserves a 9.5 but does that make Aarons(im not sure how to spell his name) opinion wrong NO.

And gamespot are a great review site check gamespots reviews then check the averages on gamerankings they are spot on 90% with the rest of the gaming sites.

PS3 has a quite a few good games, but the only great ones it has IMO is oblivion,rainbow and ninja gaiden, warhawk is really good but its not on the same level as other games rated 9+, heavenly sword was good but had big problems namely AI it got the right score IMO, RFOM was good not great good, motorstrom very good but shallow and lair was just bad and this is jus my opinion am neither right nor wrong its an opinion.

I love the PS3 it is a great piece of hardware and has amazing potential, but the top games do not compare with top games of the other system again my opinion.

Allot of people keep saying theres loads of great games, heavenly sword should have got a 9.5, basicly thats saying the standard of that games is good enough for very game released in every aspect, NO i want better metal gear solid should be a game worthy of a 9.5, just looking back at other metal gear games and the developer history its quit clear that game will be something special.

And im sure every one agree's MGS4 will be awesome, for instance say it gets a 9.5 and you think heavenly sword should have got a 9.5 i very much doubt those games will be on the same level.

All this "waa waa waa everybody hates ps3" is getting beyond a joke, all this bias talk is getting beyond a joke, and people being emotionaly attached to a games company is beyond a joke.

Theres a topic about this or 360 vs ps3(in sone shape of form) every 10 mins, it really feels like the gaming community is full of teenage girls bi***** about things, hence the word fangirls.

Rant over, i guess people can tell im sick of these topics, in every board theres about 1 decent topic a week for proper disccussion, where as a board like system wars dwarfs every other board in terms of posts, which proves fangirls enjoy bi***** about consoles.

All ps3 has going right now are multiplats and the sad thing is what made me play my Xbox over my ps2 was that the xbox branded multiplats would get the "best" (better graphics etc)tag over the ps2 brand. I was hoping the Ps3 would do that but since Sony made the Ps3 hard to develop for you havebarely anygames being better than the 360 versions, even CUTTING DOWN detail as seen in Spiderman 3 or not having a working online play (Guitar Hero III) or games for the Ps3 being delayed ( The Orange Box ) because the system is such a pain to make games for

The Playstation 3 is basically like a top UFC champion who is really good at take downs but knocks himself out once he takes his opponent down and lands head first. The other guy wasnt skilled its just the Ps3 made a terrible mistake. Atleast Oblivion is a multiplat better on the Ps3. I wish the same could be said for others because it would make me buy them for the Playstation 3. It makes me sad. I also wish the Wii wasn't involved this gen because a lot of japanese developers are going to that system and Ps2's strength came in its overseas games. The Wii is TERRIBLE.

It's not even a gamer's console. I had to sell mine because I was so sick of how Zelda TP came out, and that they were excited about ANOTHER Resident Evil four game. Are you freaking kidding me? Resident Evil Four came out last gen, why are we getting excited for re-releases with remote control added on. All they do is rehash, rehash, rehash and since there is more of a non gaming population out, hyping the Wii just because it's selling and not because it's actually fun, developers are going to it and making dumb games like cooking mama and some boxing game with terrible controls. I want the Ps3 to flourish because it deserves to.Gigas_Yuu

Sony's support came from having exclusives.... without exclusives there'd be no reason to have any Sony system... thankfully the exclusivs coming out are enough to keep any1 happy.... but if the Kingdom HEarts series switches over to 360 only imma have to buy a 360 and maybe sell my PS3(I don't have one yet)....

remote play works pretty well. It's not for playing games though, but rather for playing videos, music..etc from your PS3 to your PSP. I am hoping this feature will be used more in the future like Racing games with the back camera using the PSP as seen in some Sony conferences.

Seriously though. All the blind hatred for hte PS3 even when it now costs the same frickin price as the 360 irritates me. Originally it was "Oh. It's too expensive." Now, you can get one for 400 bucks. The Elite 360 is 450 so we can't use that excuse. Now, more often than not, peoples problem is the lack of PS2 backwards compatability or that it doesn't work perfectly with all games, but hte 360 has the exact same problem AND THEY DON'T GRIPE ABOUT THAT

I have nothing against the 360. It is a good system and I am hoping to get one for xmas. There is no denying that the x-box has much MUCH bigger problems than the PS3 does. 30% failure rate anyone? No one seems to care, though.

People complain about hte game selection and it not having many true exclusive, but, you know what? Most of the best games on the 360 are avaiable for the PS3 or for PCs as well, so that shouldn't fly. Besides that, Sony is getting some great games this year and will continue with next year. I mean, Little Big Planet, Haze, Uncharted, Killzone 2, Metal Gear Solid 4,. White Knight Story. Just to name a few

The remote play option works great!!!

I work all night and I leave my PS3 and my PC on while I'm at work.

To make a long story short, I can watch movies, listen to music, look at pics, and watch trailers while I'm at work..

Files can be stored on my PS3 or my PC.

This feature is awesome!!!

I think its cause sony made so many promises with the PS3 and so far they aren't keeping that promisequizee
