Why do people buy a $600 plus tax system just to buy cheap accessories later....

 on down the road?.Help me understand this because I am lost like hell on this one.

by accessories i mean cables and etc,why not just buy the sony brand?

A $6 HDMI cable transmits the same signal as a $100 one.

Though if my ps3 breaks down, i'm not going to tell them i used a non sony brand hdmi cable. Sony has to know that you used it before they can claim that your warranty is voided :P

I'm pretty sure a huge hardware company like Sony would know if you used their accessories or not.This isn't Microsoft we are talking about now.

Lol...Guy. You're acting as if us buying expensive accessories is the only thing keeping you alive. Look...I only have sony accessories, but if I found something that could do the same thing as an expensive item for chearper...you better believe I'd get the cheaper one. It's all about knowing how to spend and svae, buddy.

Heck, I got an extra game out of the money I had set aside by saving with the HDMI cable.

I agree it's all about smart spending.

I purchased a PS3 because it was the system I wanted.

I purchased a $6 HDMI cable because it was the cable I wanted.

In the end, my system outputs the same gorgeous graphics as yours does.

And that's all that counts.
