Why do updates take for ever/

I am waiting for this update and by the time its done I most likely won't want to play, any one else ever get like ? and please dont say should of gotten a 360 or a wii I have all platforms, I am looking for a real answer to this question, Thanks and game on!

Yeah, it kinda sucks, it's like this with the PSP too, not nearly as long DL but it has to be at 100% charge to update, which is kind of stupid.

The PS3 and PSP patches aren't like 2.5 -> 2.6, they're always 1.0 -> 2.6, meaning that someone who's never updated before will have to download the same update you download, kind of sucks since the PSP patches are ~35MB's now but the memory stick that comes with your PSP is only 32MB so you pretty much either have to buy a new stick or a brand-new game, since those come with the latest patch on the disc, if you want to update :/

It's mixed from what I've seen. I run wireless off of DSL and downloading anything does take awhile.

To be honest, it really depends on your internet connection. I've had two friends whos updates only take them about 5 minutes, while it takes me 30+ minutes. If it takes you too long, you can always download it on your computer off of the PS website and put it on your PS3 via a flash drive.

I haven't had a problem, most updates are under 50mb.

Mine always take about 5 minutes...that isn't long. Go throw a football or something.

Its your internet connection.

5-10 mins for download and install of most updates for me, not to bad.
