[QUOTE="TelcharXI"] [QUOTE="glorious_blue"]Microsoft's interest is specifically in winning the war versus Sony. That means doing whatever it takes. They're setting themselves up for the nex 20 years of battle, not just for a particular game. It's not that they want the game on the system to make money off of it, they want the game on the system so that people don't feel the need to buy a PS3 to play certain games. They're smart and its good a good way to stay on top. It makes your system more desireable to both gamers and, importantly, developers, who see that your product has greater market penetration. To me it sounds greedy and with them buying everything sounds like they are trying to create a monopolization of the gaming industry, just like they do with the computer industry. But that I guess is my crazy crackpot consipiracy theory.
It's not crazy, because it's true. MS wants complete domination over consumer electronics. The next inevitable step would be to start making TVs, or incorporating Microsoft technologies into existing TV brands.
