It has the Talents who made Golden eye and Perfect Dark working on it! 2 classic FPS's! Timesplitters seemed to always be about the multiplayer and less about the single player exsept for Future Perfect. i think the single player in HAZE will be awesome and with 4 man Co-Op you know the multiplayer will be great too!
I too think this will be a great FPS. However, a lot of people are iffy on this game. I actually do not know why. It looks great to me, and innovative with the whole nectar factor, and how you switch sides and each side has distinct attributes. Sounds good to me!
ill take the other side in this convo, the game looks very good but it might get over repetative. But 4 player co-op does sound intimidating, ill just stick with 2 player co-op on army of two. Enjoy this game!

4 man squads are great fun online. as long as the battlefield is big enough to accommodate them. but you are entitled to your opinion, and Army of Two does look sweet!

Only thing i don't like is, I liked the old Mantel troopers better. im really not digging the whole Bee thing or what ever.

Exactly. The founder of Free Radical are well known to have been integral to the creation of Golden Eye and PD, so yes the original statement here is true. Haze has the talents behind GE and PD. He never said it was made by Free Radical, which would have been a mistatement.

i say "uninspired" a lot. it's the way i feel about a lot of games. But i really hope Haze will be great. But i have my reservations. it doesn't look that special.Killzone 2 does imo.
I played a demo level last waakend in a convention in Belgium.
I'm not convinced at the moment. Nice environments, but the characters looked rather bland in the in-game cut-scenes. They were poorly animated and in those cut-scenes it was jaggies galore...
Could get fixed when the game goes gold though, gameplay was cool for a fps.
It's not the visuals that has me intrigued by this game, but the play mechanics. The ability to play dead, while those using Nectar cannot see dead bodies, giving the element of surprise. Nectar overdose ( & nectar grenades) which cause opponents to be unable to differentiate between friend and foe, or commit suicide. and lastly, the Weapon Steal. This will be BADASS in multiplayer!!!!

It looks good and should score well. I think that Haze could be a sleeper hit. While it doesn't look impressive and seems uninspired in the art direction, I think that the story, multiplayer, and the gameplay around nectar should make Haze a good game. The problem with Haze is that it happens to belong to an overpopulated genre even for PS3. I mean look at all the other FPS games coming to Ps3 around the same time: UT3, CoD4, Orange Box, Killzone2 (early next year), MOH:Airborne (crap but still in the genre), Jericho, and Blacksite. Not to mention it has to fight with R:FoM (and the impeding R:fom2) and the misnomer of being a "Halo clone". I think if Haze came out earlier this year or sometime next year it would get more respect, but it is coming at the wrong time for a market saturated with FPS games. I will get it first day or xmas (depending on when UT3 comes out).
I think Haze is going to be an incredible game. Watching vids, listening to the developers and doing research on this game has made me very excited, and I personally look forward to Haze more then any other shooter this year.
