The PS3 is supposed to get an update that will allow you to connect your PSP games over the internet, even if it only has ad hoc mode. It's supposed to have all the features of XLink and Monster Hunter will be the first (or one of the first) games to be able to use it.
I really can't wait.

If this is true i'm giving you and SPD_WeBmAsTaH a cookie :D:D:D:D:D:D:D:D:D.
Now I must buy Monster Hunter Freedom 2 :D
I'm hooked on it here too. The other day, I let a co-worker borrow it and now he's hooked. I was finally able to play w/ someone ad hoc and I have to say that having two people makes it even better especially when you think about who does what and what kind of gear/weapon everyone should be packin'.
Of note, I usually visit youtube to get various strategies and tips from expert players (I'm gettin' there....) and its an overall beautiful game to look at. The sound doesn't slack either.
Its worth the money, imo. Just keep adding stuff on and I think you have a receipe for getting Smollett's money.

I got bored playing MHF 1 alone so I quit.
Then someone comes by and invited me to play MHF 2.
After a while we got a whole bunch of people playing and hold occasional ad-hoc parties.
Now I am a HR6 Hammer-wielding, Dragon-slaying hunter of love.
I should of bought this when I had the chance! Maybe I should get it because other people are saying it takes along time to finish.aznstyle11
it takes an absurd amount of time to finish all the quests and then download quests,i dont evan know if any one has 100% with all armour and weapons and stuff

Plus...it gives you 3 character slots.... so, I guess if you're insane, you're goal is to have all 3 slots at 100% and pray that you're memory card never dies....
I respect your desicon bu i hate it the missions are very hard. You can only buy a few armor and wepaons. naju890_963

mhf2 is alot like too human to me. (in that it took awhile for me to get into it then i was so hooked!) but everyone hates too human :( maybe xbox gamers are just like that.
dkdk999
It's a niche game, just like Monster Hunter. I loved Too Human as well, but I'm a fan of dungeon crawling RPG's with a lot of loot...so there's always a following for it. But other people love to hate on the genre.
I was actually contiplating this game. The only thing thats holding me back is the loading times, i heard they were really slow:| is this true?n00bkid
I didn't find the load times to be too bad... maybe it's just the orginal PSP where they are excessively long. Really, the only time the game loads is when it's loading your quest/the region. After that, load times aren't all that noticable. I guess it take about 20 seconds to load a quest/region (never really timed it.) And maybe 2-4 seconds between areas. You have 50 real time minutes to explore the region; some mission give 20 minutes, but most are 50. So 20seconds of waiting for the map to load, isn't really all that bad considering you're going to spend about 50minutes exploring.
Loading time within the village... betweenthe different areas... takes about 5 seconds, I guess. Village has about 4 different areas; that you'll most likely visit between every quest. The kitchen, the bedroom, outside, and the farm... Although you must go thru the bedroom to get to the kitchen; but load times between the bedroom and kitchen isn't really that bad, maybe 3 seconds.
mhf2 is the best psp game, ever!KingDre410
Couldnt agree more.
My favorite game on the PS2 is Shadow of the Colossus. And guess what???
In both SotC and MHF2 you get to kill big, bada$s monsters, and you show them who's the bada$sest in a game played in a world of bada$ses.
