So I am debating on getting Wild Arms from the Playstation Store. It is a 299 MB file for $5.99. I remember playing it when it first came out, but it has been so long! I figure it has to be better than some of the really bad RPGs that have been released for the PSP, and the price is right. Any ideas?
Coincidently, I just finished re-playing the original PS1 version of the game around the day it was released to the PS Store. Its obviously dated graphicallyand poorly translated. The story starts out really really slow (but picks up a bit)and is overall very full of cliches and whatnot, as are many RPGs. Its certainly not a standout in any area, though it has a very good soundtrack, but is good enough in most areas. That being said, if you're a fan of RPGs it is easilyworth the $6 especially considering the lack of other goodPSP RPGs.
I am downloading it right now. I had to remove Spyro from my memory card...time to upgrade to a 4 GB. I hope this game is a sign of Sony's commitment to get more games out faster for their store. I would love many more PSX RPGs!
I've downloaded it, and it has been a good use of 6 bucks. I played this game back in 97, and was one of my favorites back then. Highly reccomended. (this is my first post using the PS3 browser :) )
Only problem I've found with it so far is that it doesn't download to fake ebay memory sticks, just gives you corrupt data. Must be some kind of copy protection to get people using official ones. I tried twice, and both times failed. Works fine on my official stick.
