Will Knack be worth it?

Does anyone think Knack will be worth it? I am intrigued and wouldn't mind a good platformer just for a change of pace. But I also don't want to break the bank either. I'm thinking of getting Killzone, Knack and Battlefield 4.

I want Knack to be great. Maybe I should wait for reviews. I'm also interested in Assassin's Creed and basically have been getting FIFA for years, so that's another option to swap Knack out for.

Basically, will Knack be worth it? Commentary from people who played it might help too.

I don't know. It's directed by Mark Cerny, so it can't be bad...

It looks... decent... nothing world shattering, but a good fun platformer to kill a few hours with.

Could be pleasantly surprising of course - but i would wait till the reviews are out (that's what i am doing at least)

Looks interesting, I will wait for a dramatic price drop to purchase though. Go with killzone

I'm intrigued as well. I always buy a platformer when buying a new system ( since Getting Super Mario Bros with NES). Knack looks like a good change of pace. I have heard that it doesn't really look like a next gen game, but as long as the game play is good I'm good. I'm picking this up in addition to KZ, NBA 2k14, and AC4.

Sony hasn't done much to promote the game in ads. It might be really fun, but we dont know much about the game mechanics, etc. it reminds me a bit of Kameo for the Xbox 360, and that didn't turn out successful.

I have played through 4 levels at the Kiosk Demo in My Gamestop. I am very interested in it and had fun playing through it. Although i had fun i don't think i would pay Full price for it. I am going to wait for a price drop on that game. In the mean time, i will be enjoying Killzone Shadow Fall and Assassin's Creed 4

@ChiefFreeman: Yeah, Kameo wasn't a bit hit but I still really enjoyed that game. I hope Knack turns out good. I already have the game but I am keeping it in the plastic until I see some reviews. I don't really follow reviews too closely but if for some reason it gets a 3/10 or something then I want to be able to return it.

I'm hoping it's good, I'm playing the Jak and Daxter HD trilogy now and would like a good platformer for next-gen. LittleBigPlanet was a nice surprise so hopefully this can be as well.

I think most people already have abit of an idea whether this is their kind of game.

As far as how good the game is, I haven't heard editors raving about it or anything, but I still think it'll be a good, quality platformer.

My advice to the OP would probably be to wait for reviews and feedback on the game. This close to launch, you might as well just wait a few more days and see what everyone has to say. And you can watch people stream footage, too, I guess.

Not for 60 bucks. Game looks decent enough, but at half the price. I'll get it when it reaches that 20-30 dollar price point as I do love me some platforming games.

They keep making comparisons to some old games I don't like. They claim you will start over a lot in this game. I still will try it but I'm not buying this one out of the gate.

It's a toss up between this and Assassin's Creed. I mean if this turns out being the next Crash, Sonic or Mario I'd want it.

I think the gameplay is not just jump and shoot, I saw a journalist play it at a convention and it took him a while to get past a tank and a few soldiers, seems you have to analyze the enmie for strategy and weak points

I bought knack for the co-op play. I have also ordered another DS4 controller. Knack supports 2 player so should be a fun couch co-op game. This could be a start of a great new franchise for Sony. Looks decent

Yeah, the co-op will probably be pretty cool too. I wonder if Robo-Knack plays into the story at all, or if it's just there kind of like an extra Master Chief in Halo lol. Either way, I'm sure the story and gameplay will be decent.

I was just thinking last night, when I opened up the game, that Sony could make a lot of improvements for a sequel. It didn't take them long to get right into building this game, after all. Of course, I will have to play Knack and see if it feels like it needs a sequel anytime soon, first.

I think I'd like to see Sony continue to make new IPs and try different things first. And there are lots of other existing IPs that I think need a new installment on the PS4, like Dark Cloud, and I'd really like to see a Gravity Rush game on the console one day.

From what they've shown so far, I wouldn't waist my time with it. It looks like a really simplified beat em up... I really wish they opted to make a 3D platformer. We could use more of those in this industry.

As it stands right now, Knack looks like a simplified God of War with an E rating. I honestly have no clue why people think it's a platformer...

Just ordered this from Amazon with their buy 2 get one promo. A few reasons I bought this was co-op local play, have always bought a platformer when buying a new system, new IP from Sony, game looks like something different than what I have played recently. I was going to hold off to see reviews, but I said heck with it. Cant wait for the weekend to fire it up.
