Will PS3 ever have a dominant multiplayer game?

Well Sony is definitely hoping MAG will be. We shall see.

Yeah CoD4 seems to be the dominant multiplayer games, and it will be replaced by MW2, and maybe MAG if its good enough.

you forgot to mention resistnace FOM and 2 , they have way better multiplayer the KZ2 , i have played KZ MP only for few hours then moved back to R2 which im instantly playing 3months + because of the bad controls

When one game on console dominates, you're left with no choices. When you have the library to chose from, everyone will find something to enjoy.

Resistance 2? Socom: Confrontation? Killzone 2? MGO Online?You may not liked those titles but the fact remains many people always play them 24/7.

Those are just exclusives now, MAG will be something a lot of FPS gamers who play online a lot will enjoy quite a bit.

I got nothing against Halo but after playing it for few months, it's nothing more then average FPS game with barely 16 players online.

I found Socom: Confrontation to be more enjoyable then cartoony look of Halo but I can see how it appeal to majority of teens.

PS3 has many dominant online multiplayer games, the trick is it's never going to be one but quantity and quality and stop listening to brainwashing media. ;)

That's true but that would be on PC which I absolutely agree with.

On consoles however, it's a different story, I have a good feeling MAG will change that.

Never really understood why people love Halo. I always saw it as a kind of UT rip-off in a way.

I don't want a dominant multiplayer game. It's good that we have people who like different games. It sucks that hot shots had no players because that game was cool.

Warhawk, Resistance 2 and Killzone 2 all have very strong online players. Killzone 2 always has a lot of full games, and Warhawk after 2 years still has a lot of people playing so yes they do have a dominant multiplayer game, and people stop saying MAG because it's not out yet so you can't even say it will be a dominant game.

What, are R2, MGO (I know no one likes MGO here but its highly active online), KZ2, SOCOM, MAG, and other multiplat games not enough for you?

Anyway, Halo's a good game, but it isn't as good as a lot of people make it out to be. Personally, I think COD4 was 10x the game Halo 3 was, and 5x the game Halo 2 was. As much as people want to nitpick about it, I really don't see what people have against Killzone 2.

well it was resistance fall of man, now its a bunch of games. mostly socom, warhawk, and killzone 2

If the online worked like it should then Fat Princess would easily be the dominant multi-player game. Seriously, how can people hate it after trying it? Oh I almost forgot, it requires teamwork, nevermind.

I agree with others that say the PS3 doesn't need a dominant multiplayer game but I think Uncharted 2 will probably have a good shot at it. And if there is no online in the third game then that will make Uncharted 2 online last a lot longer.
