Don't know what you mean by 'Points', but yes, some sort of a reward system is going to be present in PlayStation Home, and it is supposed to surpass that of the 360.BurningChimaera
How can it surpass achievement points? does it give you a cookie?
Ahha well i hope they put something because i think it makes games alot more fun after you beat them.
But how would they do it for games that are already out?
JeFF-K
No idea? Software updates?

by giving u HUGE DRAGON trophies(if u get points off of lair for example) or a huge helghast soldier statue to show off to your friends in ur apartment that looks all bada** and stuff =Oum...just...keep them in virtual storage? xDThat would be sick!
But what if you got like 1000 trophies????
not that much room in the rooms

supposedly...but no one knows how complete home will be when it comes out...may just be a lil bare and slowly upgrade each monthAhha yeah.
I hope they do something cool and unique.
Is it supposed to come out when home does?

Some say if sony cant get enough sponsers they may charge for it
From Eric Lempel , Director of PSN operations (Jan 2008)
Lempel also talks about some "very exciting programs planned to recognize our consumers gaming skills and loyalty in new ways that go well beyond a single score."
This could be just referencing Home trophies once again I guess , but it could possibly be something more. ;)

Thats your opinion. Personally I think having a trophy to actually show off rather than a number would be much cooler. Anyone can count points with a little game picture beside them, but people will be able to walk into your "home" and look at the trophies you have earned....that seems much better

Anyone can count points with a gamer picture next to it? and they cand do the same y looking at a HUGE awesome trophy.....that they have seen in a hundred other rooms.
Besides as i said the xbox has trophies for each achievement earned so its a moot issue

I'm sure that the bigger/cooler trophies will be rewarded for completing difficult nearly-impossible tasks that not everyone will be able to achieve. Also, I'm they'll use some sort of organized system with plaques to hang up on the wall for completing games and then trophies for specific difficult achievements ... this is just me speculating but I think it would a good idea/concept.
You said it was a moot point because you get trophies with each achievement on XBL ... but you don't get to display them in your apartment in a virtual 3D world ... so it's not a moot point, because I, like many others, would much rather prefer Home over XBL.

I don't know where you read that, but HOME is completely free. They will have enough companies to do advertising. There's over 8 million PS3 users and it'd be dumb for a company not to take advantage of that and advertise to a huge load of PS3 users. They'll get the companies don't worry.
In home you get trophies.
i dont really care about achivement points on my 360, then again I dont go onine on that, I do that with my ps3.
I will redo a single player campaign if I think its good. like in COD4, I completed that again on the harder difficulty.
From what I've seen from the trailer, it seems that the trophy room won't be able to hold that quantity, I would guess youl'll be choosing from all the tropies which you are most proud of, then the rest would be on your gaming history list or something, but then again this is only a guess since not many have been lucky enough to be invited on the beta which I hope they bring out soon. Man they should just release what they have now then update it in the future, just like the MMORPG titles. That would be sick!

I dont see who honestly has the time to walk around virtual room just to see what trophies your friend has,is that not just overcomplicating somthing simple?
Well we will see the "appeal" of home when its released, but just like phantasy star universe, the majority of people using it will be overweight men(pretending to be young boys) and un-sociable teen girls.

Well one would think you are a fanboy from all the ranting you have been doing this entire thread. Every reponse you made was pretty much bashing the PS3 system for having more than the X360 system. If you don't like how complicated it is, then DON'T USE IT. It's not forcing you too, it is offered for free. So get off Sony's back and either use it or don't, but stop bashing other people for liking the effort that went into this - PLEASE.

Arrrrr is someone abit touchy over a peice of software? Im notbashing the PS3 for having more then the Xbox that stupid,im giving my opinion on a future application for the PS3 my opinion is as valid as anyone elses as long as i can tell of why i dislike it.
You however have said nothing about what makes it soooooooo amazing and soo much better then anaything else available,as essentially home is just copying a number of currently available programs
