yeah they are triggers but i wonder why they use the R1 as the shoot button. wouldnt it make more sense to make the R2/L2. i was surprised they used the R1 for firing a gun on resistance and GRAW2.

in some games it is R2. i think its is in FEAR but you are right it should be R2 in all shooters

Yea, I think your right about FEAR. Still, I think the trigger still feels a bit weird... or is it just me? (maybe it just cuz I'm used to the PS2 controller :P)
On Resistance you can change the button layout to fit your playstyle. I have R2 has the firing button and R1 as the crouch button. And L2 as the grenade button and L1 as the change weapon button.
