I just saw a commerical for this game. Looks tight. Anybody planning to pick it up and tear it up??

Definitely. It's been a while since I've played a story-heavy game, really interested in this.

This is a cool vid,,,the guy slowed down one of the trailers and put some jazz beind it....You can really capture the facial expessions of the characters...Feels like is should be a roller coaster of a story....Heavy Rain meets GTA
Definitely looks great. Granted Grand Theft Auto IV was really disappointing, Red Dead Redemption and bringing James McCaffrey back for the voice and motion capture of Max Payne earned my respect for Rockstar back. Still, I'm gonna wait for the price to drop. Won't have enough time to play it.
Looks great though. Setting, gameplay, character expressions, atmosphere, story, etc. Really, really enticing. Looks like Heavy Rain with good gameplay.
Very likely. Each trailer has made me more and more excited for it, the game will have to be pretty much broken and noting like the videos for me to not buy it.
First day for sure. Rockstar hasn't let me down yet!

*cough* Team Bondi Game *cough*
No tbh I dont like how you have to go round looking for clues... I watched like a game-play trailer and the clue was like a spec on the floor.. I can see myself running round searching for hours lol...3DSTICKMANLots of different clues will be there for example the controller vibrating when you get close to a clue.
I think it is going to be pretty good, although limited replay value I still think it will last long enough to be worth purchasing. They do have challengers, you can answer calls from dispatch on such things as robbery and replay missions to have the outcome change and score higher. So yeah I'm going to get it. Luckily it is a week or so before my birthday.
I liked the R* games from last gen but this gen they've filled me with a lot of meh. They've been trying to make themselves look all cool and mature but they've been trying way too hard so it comes off as contrived and forced: like Quentin Tarantino when he's trying to promote his latest movie. The setting and atmosphere really intrigue me, but I've never liked any Rockstar game, so I'll pass. Might give it a shot when the price drops significantly.

I too dig the style, setting, and music but I don't think R* is cool enough to pull it off.
I also think their new face detail tech looks just as creepy as Oblivion, just in a different kind of way.
Also, those pre-order bonuses that include different gameplay content at different retailers is really sleazy.
Still, I'll probably rent it. But if it's good enough to buy, I'll wait for the full release.
still nobody realises that ROCKSTAR DID NOT DEVELOP THIS GAME. Theyre only publishing it. Development was handled by an australian company called team bondi.
On that note, I may be this after a significant price drop (probably this time next year) because the whole facial expression thing looks far too detached from the rest of the characters/game.It looks odd, like they superimposed the faces (which is what they did really). I don't like it one bit. They should have captured the faces during mocap- that would have been more beleivable, something for the future though I suppose
