Good question. Kinda depends though. I'm hoping my PS3 last another year at least. My XBox has failed twice and I won't be buying a 3rd even though I thought Halo4 was good but not great.

well ps3 isnt selling as fast as ps2 was, so its a good question but either way i have 2 working ps3s already i may get the even slimmer one if it comes in a  good color or my 60 gig bricksÂ
i will buy another ps3 but not anytime soon. i still have my 60gb launch model that i just fixed (had the ylod) so now that one is working AND i have a 160gb SLIM model so i should be good for another 6 years, hopefully.
im still on my 40 gig PS3, im just now starting to use it since I bought it in 2006, if it breaks ill just buy a newer one because that 40 gigs is just not gonna cut it

Well Tomb Raider got pretty good scores so I dunno maybe I'll try that. Then theres Bioshock:Infinate and try that too.
I just picked up another PS3 a few weeks ago...I am waiting on the PS4 until sometime next year (if it's extremely necessary). At this point the PS3 probably won't die off....Sony will most likely keep it going just as they did with the PS2.
Focused on buying a PS4 right now, They will be selling PS3's brand new for at least 2 more years. So I might buy another one 2 years from now when the price for them is really low $150 or so.
i was thinking about this yesterday, and my thought was if my ps3 decided to break now would i buy a new one, and my answer was no, after the ps4 was announced just like every time a new console is announced, i loose all desire to truly play the console i'm playing and all i want is the new one, and thats whats happened all i want now is the PS4 in my living room on my 60in tv which i stupidly bought when i had a bit of money lol as you do and now i'm scraping by hahahaha but there are still some great games to come this year for the ps3 which will tied me over till christmas. but i wouldn't care to much if it did die on me now i can hold off, might even go get fit hahahahaha not a chance.
No, in fact I plan on selling all my PS3 stuff so I can get the PS4 and some games when it is released. I will however probably do what I always seem to do and I don't know why. I almost always sell my old stuff to get money for the new stuff. Then about 10 years down the road I buy it again (at least the system). Then I put it in my closet and almost never play it, lol.
I got an NES, Sega Master System, SNES, Dreamcast, Gamecube and a PS2. All bought pretty cheap, and for less then what I sold them for (pretty sure)
