Will you buy Valkyria Chronicles if the price drops? No, I have tomany other games to buy to worry about getting this game as well.Takuzi
I picked it up for $60 and it was totally worth it. I say go for it, $40 is good deal for a great game.
THIS!!! if you like RPGs then you'll agree with this opinion 100%. it's one of the best RPGs ive played in my life. it combines western RTSs with classic eastern roleplaying games. it's terrific. and it's for 30 EFFIN DOLLARS @ gamestop. my store only had a few when I bought it for $60. I do not regret waiting a little longer to get it for $30 because I feel that I still got the better deal :) enjoyVC is the best jrpg for ps3 and one of the best rpgs of this generation.even 60 dlrs is worth it

I'd buy it if anywhere in the UK actually stocked it! I only got the chance to play the demo once the game had already become rare over here:cry:
The price did drop. Just recently it was only 30 bucks at GameStop. Nephilim83
It was 30USD only during the Game Days sale.
I find Valkyria Chronicles to be infinitely overrated. I played the demo and did not enjoy it in the least.

I played the demo and wasn't sure if I wanted the game. But when I picked it up I couldn't have been happier. The demo really doesn't give this game justice.

Yes I know. Thats why I said it WAS only 30 bucks. I should have put a little more emphasis on the fact that dude totally missed his chance. Sorry for not making myself more clear. :)Yeah, I honestly thought the demo was MEH. I played it several times and just didn't get it. Man, I'm glad I let myself get talked into buying this game. Its one of my top three all time favorites for this gen. I haven't taken it out of my PS3 since I got it. Its really sad that they didn't put more into the demo so people could really get a feel for what makes this game so great. You really do need the story to bring the fun out. You fall in love with the characters so quickly you're more than ready to take a chance on shotty gameplay. Good thing it turns out to be some of the funnest and most rewarding gameplay (and most original) I've seen in an RPG in a LONG time; maybe even EVER!!!I find Valkyria Chronicles to be infinitely overrated. I played the demo and did not enjoy it in the least.

I bought VC for $65 bucks and it was worth every penny. IMO the game is a instant classic and it's about time it's getting the attention it deserves. :)
I'll buy it for $40, and i already have a copy, so, yeah, it is worth, maybe the greatest SRPG since Fire Emblem Sacred Stones.
[QUOTE="JudgementEden"]No, it seems im the only person that totally hated the demo of this game. It may be unique, yes, but utterly boring.AlexSaysJudging the entire game off the demo? What else are demos for? I love the game myself, but I do hate how people who love the game persecute those that don't like the game just because they make a comment that they didn't care for it.

Asking a simple question is defined as persecution? A demo is made available as a quick taste of a game to see if people are interested or not. Saying the entire game is boring after playing five minutes is false, and that goes for any game. It's not even a "oh but I'm unique like a snowflake and I have an opinion" No, you assumed everything there was to see in the game could be seen in the five minute demo. That's wrong. Think the demo is boring? That's great. The first five minutes of Oblivion was also boring, to just about everyone. If we all judged that game based on a short demo, we likely wouldn't hold it in the same light we do today.

Your post wasn't hostile, but it doesn't take away from the fact that everyone excluding the last few posts that said anything negative about the game has had someone counter their opinion as if their opinion was wrong. Even the person you quoted said specifically that the demo was boring, while not saying anything about the whole game, as you implied. Anyways, sorry to go off topic, but I've just seemed to notice this tendency on posts about this game. The only price drop I'm hoping for is the DLC so I can get those extra missions.
The story can take 30 to 35 hours. I'd finished the game story mode in 35 hours.how long is the game ?? just wondering...

The story can take 30 to 35 hours. I'd finished the game story mode in 35 hours. It takes a lot longer than that if you want to play the heck out of the skirmishes and max your characters out. At first I played the skirmishes til I got everyone up to level 20. Then I played til I got an 'A' rank on all the skirmishes. Then I beat the game. I finished the game at just over 44 hours. THEN I played through the entire game again to get an 'A' rank on all the story missions. After my second play through I had put in almost 60 hours. Now I'm playing again. Just for the heck of it. Yes..... I like it that much....[QUOTE="JudgementEden"]No, it seems im the only person that totally hated the demo of this game. I'm not going to take chances and spend $30-40 on a game I may STILL hate, that's just stupid. Especially when I know there are games I know i'll like coming out.

That would be pretty stupid if you hated a demo and bought the game anyway. What's even more stupid is that Sega put out a demo that is so shallow it really does the game no justice whatsoever. I hated the demo, too. I kept hearing good things about it and giving it another shot and still hated it. But once I saw it was only 30 bucks at GS I let myself get talked into buying it (thanks guys!) and I'm SOOOO glad I did!!!! ..................But, yeah...... A demo should really include as much as it can to give you an actual feel for what the game is all about.
