[QUOTE="yokofox33"][QUOTE="Symphonycometh"]I love the scores, actually. Sure they're lower than I expected, but Gamespot members have been closing their ears whenever someone would point out the gaping flaws and choosing instead to hype this up. Attempting to put this up to Final Fantasy's standards. And it lol'd in their faces. Now, WKC will have to step aside as better RPGs remind JRPG fans what a great game is. Persona 5, anyone?Symphonycometh
Well, I never hyped it to the level of FFXIII but thanks for taking joy in my disappointment. It means a lot to me.
Ouch. D': Would it make you feel better if I was referring more to the ones that were hyping this up to bitter death (Level of FFXIII and beyond)?A little. I personally never hype games. I just get excited for them. I let everyone else create those hype threads and I just post on my feelings on the game. I "predicted" that it would get an 8. I said 8.5 at most, and in the back of my head a 7.5 at the very least. I never thought it would do so poorly review-wise.
I've explained before that I have waited FOREVER for this game to come out the moment I saw it on the Japanese shelves on Christmas Day. It's not so much the reviews that are disappointing, but rather that I waited so long for a major flop. Sony took forever to publish it here in the States, I waited for a release date that seemed like an eternity, and then it finally comes out, I get excited, and then bleh. I can't even compare it to anything in real life. If the game had come out soon after the Japanese version I wouldn't have felt so disappointed. But since I waited 14 months it sucks.
I canceled my pre-order actually. I still might get it because I found it for cheaper on Ebay, but I'm not sure. I feel betrayed. I'm also letting reviews sway my decision. I usually ignore reviews, but the scores are too low to just brush away.
