Would anyone know if Batman Arkham Asylum would work on 480p tv?

480p is standard def. if you dont have an hdtv than 480p is the best solution. games will work on 480i, 480p, ofcourse it wont look as good as high def resolutions, but you can still paly the game.

No don't do it! It'll fry your tv! It's too powerful!

Hey wait, how did you plug in an hdmi cable to a sdtv anyway?

Yes change the settings. Go to display and make sure to check all the resolutions. Seems like no one know much about hardware here; do you really think he could have attached an HDMI cable to an SDTV?

Also FYI Batman will render in 720 not 1080p.

If you went to custom settings, the resolutions that are greyed out are not supported

If they are all white, you have to select all of them. Or, you can just go to automatic settings

True, but it will upscale to 1080p.

Ok, this is what you should do... 1. Unplug the HDMI. 2. Get your TV and smash it to pieces with some sort of heavy object. 3. Get your HDMI cable. 4. Dunk it in some egg white and leave for ten minutes. 5. Go to your local TV store and get a HDTV with 1080P resltion. 6. Get your HDMI cable, and brush it down with water and other liquid goods. 7. Plug it in. 8. Watch the fire works.

FWIW 480p is "Extended Definition". Standard Def would be 480i.
