[QUOTE="Yuck_Too"] The problem has a lot more to do with how much money has already been spent to develop the title and how much they are looking to make in return.
If they spent$30 million to produce this (I've actually heard they spent more but who knows for sure) and if they make $10 / copy they need to sell 3 million copies to break even. And while that is possible it would also make MGS4 the all time best selling title by a long shot. Motorstorn and RFoM only sold 1 million each, so I think they are a tad worried they might lose money here.
So really they need 100% of PS3 owners to buy it, or port it and double their sales with an additional 3 millionfrom 360 owners. I think that is the real issue.

So what would the dev costs be like to port a CELL/RSX optomized game that is rumored to barely fit on a DL BR to run on a different architecture restricted to a publishing medium a fifth the size?
Anywhere from 15%-30% of the original cost to develop is what it typically costs to port a title. Even if we say MGS4 cost 50% of the original budget, thing is they could easily sell more copies on the 360 platform so the return on their investment is that much more worth while.
As for the whole "multi-disk" thind I don't see it being that big a deal,if your options are buy a PS3 or get up to change a disk every 5 hours...
